I wrote this when I was 16, hope you like it.I journeyed on the road that my Master tread
as in His book I have many times read.
me, I 'm just a servant, a humble squire
but, within me burns a holy fire.
so I walked to the garden to meet with my Lord
led by His Spirit and armed with His Sword.
my walk was stoped much to my dismay
because before me, a horrible dragon did lay.
Crimson were the scales of the hungry beast
and on my soul did his piercing eyes feast.
velvet black wings, as dark as night
as he cast his shadow on my feeble light.
I heard around me his angry hoard
as I blindly clutched to my Master's Sword.
he breathed his fire and I felt it's heat
it lightened his smile as he thought I was beat.
Before me stood a woman, full of passion and desire
naked and beautiful, embraced by the fire.
I backed away as I knew I must
for she was a he the demon of lust.
another appeared as I turned to my side
the image I saw caused me to hide.
he spoke "it's all over, you know you're too late."
and the air around him was filled with hate.
I turned around as I heard laughter behind me
and I was not prepared for the sight I would see.
a creature with no flesh, dressed in black robes
and eyes, firey red, were peircing my soul.
he laughed as he pointed his long finger at me
it sounded as though he was laughing with glee.
But, the warmth from the Sword was cleansing my mind.
and the eyes of my Savior were shining through mine.
the smile on my face made him stop his laughter
the words from my Lord made his frail bones clatter.
"You cannot defeat me and this you will hear,
for God hath not given me the spirit of fear."
what I saw then made me feel at ease
for he fled away from God's Spirit of peace.
The other came at me with his bloodthirsty sword
but was thrown away by the Sword of the Lord.
I raised the Sword to the demon of lust
but, she raised her hands with a smile of mock tust.
she said "dear sir, I have no fight with thee,
but come and have pleasure, and lay with me."
I said "I would not go where your feet have trod
for I follow after the Spirit of God."
she wa pulled under, where? I could not tell
but my best assumption would have to be hell.
The dragon was last but, I knew not the least
I stood with holy boldness before the huge beast.
he raised to his full height, over me he did tower
but I said "get behind me, you worm, for with me you have no power."
he gasped on supprise and vanished out of sight
for he knew with my King, he could not fight.
I went on a humble servant, raising my hands
returning to the garden in my Master's land.
