Aren't we in an ice age right now?
I looked at several definitions of "ice age" on dictionary web sites. they all had some kind of "glacial epoch" or "glacial episode" as part of the def. We are currently in a state of glaciers receding,** many at a rapid rate. That is the opposite of a "glacial episode."

Several years ago this office got sued by an alaskan cruise line when they hit a rock and started taking on water. We were sued for not charting the rock. When we looked at the appropriate chart, their location was over a mile INSIDE the glacier. But it did kick congress in the pants enough to shake loose funds to re-survey many of those alaskan waters.

Technically, because Earth is already in an ice age at present, albeit an interglacial period,
So why all the hoopla then about global warming?

If were are between two ice ages right now, wouldn't that appear the Earth is unusually hot?

Because the climate is changing much more rapidly than it naturally does.

So nature can't "break the mold" that has been created on paper?

Climate change isnt about what can or cant occur naturaly. Its about the very negative impact man has on climate. Its real and the science is settled. The political question is what to do about it, not "is it happening".

Those who deny climate change are reality deniers and worthy of scorn.

Climate change isn't about what can or cant occur naturally. Its about the very negative impact man has on climate. Its fake and the science is cherry picked at best. The political question is "How much money can we make off of this scam"

Those who deny climate change are the only ones living in reality.

Fixed it for you...

Do you mean an Embedded Ice Age?
No.

What I'm pointing out, is that those who think we're experiencing global warming are experiencing nothing more than a warming trend we either have never seen before, or has happened before so long ago it was forgotten.

Mankind is unnatural? We don't belong here?

Yet I agree. As the God ordained stewards of His creation we are not doing a good job.

I find climate change denialism much more problematic than creationism. I can understand and sympathize with creationism, but there is nothing in the Bible that supports climate change denial (at least without reaching incredibly far). I wonder if it's just a distrust of science in general that causes it or so many right-wing US Christians buying into the fossil fuel industry's propaganda.

Well, for the record, I think it could be the LORD's doing as well.

Signs of the time and all.
