I am not making an assumption. It would be unwise to assume what I do or do not know regarding the Genesis account of the worldwide flood.
Well for one here is an assumption made by you towards me.Really? What evidence is there for a flood? I am very sure that the best that you have is a misinterpretation of observations.
God cleaned up the mess, but left two major pieces of evidence behind: white cliffs and meandering rivers.Once again, what is this evidence.
Nope, not an assumption. It is a more than reasonable conclusion, and you have only supported that conclusion so far.Well for one here is an assumption made by you towards me.
Not exactly the best way to start a discussion about a topic we already know that we don't agree upon.
No, that evidence clearly refutes the Flood story. The cliffs of Dover took millions of years to deposit. And you are well aware of my favorite image.God cleaned up the mess, but left two major pieces of evidence behind: white cliffs and meandering rivers.
Then He had it all documented.
False. It was and is an assumption, not a more reasonable conclusion whatsoever.Nope, not an assumption. It is a more than reasonable conclusion, and you have only supported that conclusion so far.
You think what you want. No, that evidence clearly refutes the Flood story. The cliffs of Dover took millions of years to deposit. And you are well aware of my favorite image.
Nope, and you continue to support my conclusion. Where is your supposed evidence? By not posting any you only harm your claim. I will politely explain the errors that you make.False. It was and is an assumption, not a more reasonable conclusion whatsoever.
This is not "he said she said" . I can support my claims with valid sources. I can explain how we know the claims of flood believers to be wrong. Are you forgetting your failure with The Goosenecks? You think what you want.
But this he-said/she-said is getting old.
I do not support your baseless "conclusion ".Nope, and you continue to support my conclusion. Where is your supposed evidence? By not posting any you only harm your claim. I will politely explain the errors that you make.
I must be.Are you forgetting your failure with The Goosenecks?
But you do. Denial does not help you. There is only one way to show that my conclusion was unjustified and that is to post some reliable evidence. By avoiding doing so you only help my case.I do not support your baseless "conclusion ".
Do you read what you write before you hit send?
Nope, don't think so. I will be heading home soon. Do you feel like trying to tackle it again?I must be.
Maybe you have me mixed up with someone else?
Sure thing!Nope, don't think so. I will be heading home soon. Do you feel like trying to tackle it again?
Alright, first things first. What is your version of the flood story? Bear in mind that saying "the one in the Bible" is pointless since different Christians interpret it differently. I do believe that one ex-member even believed in a flat Earth that was destroyed before our current one was made.Sure thing!
How in-depth do you want me to go?What is your version of the flood story?
You gave a lot of claims that are boggle the mind. But lets forget about that for now. Even though you already gave enough info to refute your version there are still a couple of questions I would like to ask. In your version what are the origins of sedimentary rocks? Were the tallest mountains in the world covered by the flood? How in-depth do you want me to go?
1. Fallen angels marry women and produce giants on the earth.
2. All flesh is corrupted.
3. Noah finds grace in the eyes of the LORD.
4. Conditions on the earth require God to step in and do something.
5. God has Noah build an Ark of gopher wood, and coat it inside and out with pitch (no nails, no bolts, no screws, maybe pegs, but basically a structure that would normally have caved in under its own weight).
6. God calls the animals to the Ark.
7. Noah selects them by twos and sevens.
8. They go inside, God shuts the door, and the rest is history.
9. God opens the windows of heaven and rain falls to earth from preordained locations in the sky.
10. The ground (Pangaea/Eden) produces massive geysers.
11. All outside the Ark die.
Beats me.In your version what are the origins of sedimentary rocks?
Affirmative.Subduction Zone said:Were the tallest mountains in the world covered by the flood?
Then let's look at how deep into the Flat Earth you have delved. First off if only Noah and family survived we would have a population bottleneck that would be greater than the one that we see in cheetahs since though the numbers are roughly the same, there has been more time for cheetahs to reestablish their genetic diversity. If your version was true then there would be no problems getting an organ transplant. Matching would not be necessary.Beats me.Affirmative.
(Glad you made it home okay.)

Wife made me a huge bowl of pasta salad, since she's going to a Bible conference tomorrow.Subduction Zone said:Edit: And thanks for the kind wishes. It took me a while to respond since I made shrimp scampi over linguine tonight.
