No, it reveals that this woman claims her husband was having an affair with Congresswoman Omar. That is not by any stretch of the imagination the same thing as being "a self-admitted adultress"

It was obvious big political news at the time the story broke. Subsequent stories and events have borne that out to be true.

Unsure. He's certainly guilty of covering up an affair in that time.

I think it all ended with the Clinton Presidency. Really I do. At that point I think the nation woke up realizing the generation which gave us the counterculture, “free love” and rampant drug use was not going to be a paragon of personal virtue.

Christians rapidly realized they were not voting to elect their senior pastor but a chief executive. For Christians we are to be at peace with others as much as possible. So people saw a GWB who was previously an admitted alcoholic and drunk driver for who he was while running. I guess Christians also looked the other way when realizing John McCain dumped his then wife and children for a woman 18 years younger. That wasn’t even a major headline in 2008. I think people who voted for him looked at who he was then and not 25 years or so earlier.

So what’s to conclude?

The generation against which the free love crowd was rebelling is the generation that turned dogs and fire hoses on black people. I think the personal virtue ship had already sailed by the time they started toking up.

Doesn't fit the narrative. The objective right now is to prevent Trump from getting re-elected. Omar as despicable a personal life she might have, gets a pass. It's just not news to them.

I guess we could conduct moral equivalents to death in just about any generation. We were speaking of sexual morals which is directly related to the counterculture. In the 60s and 70s many wrongs were addressed for the good of all the people. The counterculture was not one of the goods.

Those things have been mentioned many times. Maybe not in this thread, but do they have to be mentioned every single time someone else does something? It's not even relevant to this thread what Trump did, or may have done. Trump doesn't have to be mentioned in every thread about someone else. It's only an attempt to divert the topic to talking about Trump.
