My Grandpa

My grandpa died about 8 years ago, I was 4, and my sister was just a baby. My father told me my ganpa was gone, and being a 4-year-old, I figured that Grandpa was hiding. I looked for him everywhere, and couldn't find him. Finally my dad took me into his lap and explained how Grandpa went up high in the sky to Heaven. I looked for him some more, but finally realized he was really gone and I sat down and cried. I miss him so much.

He was a Presbyterian preacher. He loved to make us things out of wood and such. He made my dad a little toy boat named Little Toot when he was little. He made me and my sister a dollhouse, and it is simply beautiful.

I miss my grandpa so much.

I found a picture the other day of you holding me when I was a baby. I loved it. I put it in our living room for everyone to see. We miss you so much Grandpa, but we know you're there. We're comforted by the thought that you wouldn't want us to be sad.

I can't wait till we meet again in Heaven.
