My God!

[Martyr's Crown]

My God!

My heavenly King from above,
who sits on the holy throne.
Beautifully decorated like a sapphire stone,
yet powerfully seen with lightnings on each side.

It is nothing like what is seen on this earth,
no other throne which have been will ever measure up to God's throne.
It's power and beauty,
it goes beyond any other thrones on this earth.
Even the throne of great king Solomon,
it fades in comparison to God's throne.

And no other king,
will be as great as the King of kings.
Other kings have a limited time,
but our King of kings reigns forever.

I am amazed by this,
picturing of the throne of God.
I am also amazed by this,
thinking of God's power and might!

That I serve a great God,
who is greater than any other gods!
I serve the One and True God,
who is also the Creator of all!

This is my God,
He is the Lord God Almighty!
He is my God,
and I am proud of belonging to Him!

I just wrote down my thoughts in the moment. I am reading in the book of psalms now, and one part talked about God who sits in heaven, I could just picture Him sitting on His throne.

This is the chapter I read during yesterday which was what inspired me to start writing this poem:

Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us."

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion." "I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possesion. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.' "

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
(Psalms 2)

I lined under the part which inspired me the most, yet the whole chapter is equal powerful. The book of psalms is also beautifully written!

Also the fact of that you can't get enough of it! Every sentence, every word, it is something which one can read over and over again, I don't get tired of reading in His Word.

One bible verse can fill you up, like a food for thought throughout the whole day!

This I mean about the whole bible and not only about the book of Psalms. As His whole Word is as amazing, wonderful, lovely and powerful! <-- The words which came into my mind so I thought I could type them down as well!

You do that! I have written more poems about how God's Word affects me. I can't get enough of even mentioning about it, same way as I can't get enough of praising God!

True this too! He also makes us feel complete in Him, but perhaps the reason we feel this way is because He is our Creator? He is the one who knows us fully, He knows our every thoughts, our feelings, our likes and dislikes, how many hairs we have on the hair... He just knows Everything!

And still, He wants us to have a relationship with Him, getting to know Him as well as He gets known with us. Some may think we shouldn't need doing this since He already knows everything, but He still desires for us to come before Him daily, spending time with Him. Talking to Him, telling Him what we have in our hearts and minds. He wishes to have a relationship with us in a personal level, same way as we would have with a friend or a family member. Although in my opinion; I think a relationship with God goes much much deeper. It just fills you up, gives you this satisfied feeling from within. No one else can get as close to you like God can!

I can sure pray for you with this. Although I also think you will do well, asking Him to inspire your words in prayer and then start writing, trusting in that He will inspire you as well.
