Far and away the biggest surprise would probably be God showing up to me in the first place in such a way that I wouldn't assume:

1. I'm having a psychotic episode, and/or
2. That Marijuana brownie I ate in college is finally kicking in.

Anything beyond that is going to be pretty trivial by comparison.

I can picture an atheist saying that.

But an agnostic?

I'm agnostic insofar as I will accept the possibility of an overarching force in the universe... but the idea of that force manifest as some sort of quasi-anthropomorphic being existing outside creation and occasionally meddling in it.... yeah, gotta be that brownie.

In a manner of speaking -- The only benefit of sentience is something to manipulate and cajole.

I don't think anything would surprise me, but something that might surprise you is that you still wouldn't know if God actually existed.
I'm past that hurdle, chief -- way past it.

This is almost exactly my position. I would probably phrase this part as: "I cannot exclude the possibility of some 'overarching force' in the formation of the Universe, but I see no need for it nor see any reason to worry about it (or if it is somehow sentient) it's opinions."

I chose the "atheist" label for my profile because that is how I personally identify and I didn't want any of the locals to think I was squishy about *their* god, which I definitely think is unreal.

Obviously, but this just puts you in the same company as people who believe that the earth is flat, or the moon landing was faked, or aliens built the pyramids. They're positions that can't be refuted by either facts or reason. So rather than being a ringing endorsement of God's existence it's just another sad commentary on the irrationality of people.

Claiming to know something that you can't possibly know is a sign that you're simply not willing to accept the truth.

If you could at least acknowledge the fact that you can't know for certain whether God exists, then we could perhaps have a rational discussion about why you 'believe' that he does. Until then I have to consider everything that you say with a large measure of skepticism.

Funny, that's the name I give for "someone who ends up being more useful dead than alive."

Not seeing how your definition is any better than mine.
