  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My generic facing the board thread.

I think I'm getting backed up sorry.
The best place I've traveled to, under what circumstances?
In the military definitely Camp Pendleton, it's beautiful out here. In civilian probably the same, although Washington State would be a close second. It's about the most beautiful place I've ever been, it's all rugged mountains and desert.
I don't really get vacations, I took 6 days leave a while back, I got a 96 this weekend but that's more time off not really the same thing as a vacation.

◘ If you were an educator, what age group or level would you want to teach? What subject would you be most interested in teaching?
○ If you could open your own business, what would it be? Why would you choose this?
◘ Would you rather live in a rural or urban setting? What are the positives and negatives of both?
○ What is something you do that most people would consider odd?
◘ What is your oddest phobia? Why are you afraid of this? Have you ever tried to overcome your fear?

Hmm were I an educator I would likely teach either at a Boot camp level or if that doesn't at a collegiate level.
Open my own business? Probably something with computing.
Rural, I have never loved places where there are too many people. I love the solitude and the oneness of everything.
Oddities, too many to list at least easily.
Phobias, I have a fear of paper slicers, I've had since I was six or seven, I still use them I just don't trust them, so it's not really an issue.

◘ How do you believe evangelists such as Jim Bakker, Ted Haggard, and Jim Jones have impacted the view of Christianity?
○ Which soap opera do you think would best portray your life? Why?
◘ Which serial killer (ie. Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Jack the Ripper) fascinates you the most? Why? If you could ask this person one question, what would it be?
○ Do you enjoy watching horror movies? Do these types of movies have a lasting affect on you?
◘ What do you think to fear God means? Do you believe it is simply respecting God and His power, or does it mean to literally fear Him? Why do you believe this?

If you won $1,000,000 what would you do with it?

What are your thoughts on the state of public schools?

What are your thoughts on private schools?

What are you thoughts on homeschooling?

What are your three main sources of news? (be specific, don't say tv - say what network, don't say newspaper - say what newspaper, don't say internet - say what site....)

I do not think that any of the modern evangelical televangelist types have really affected Christianity it's a much older animal.
I have never watched an episode of a soap opera all the way through so I wouldn't know.
Serial killer? Heinrich Himmler, I would ask him how a human being can stoop to that level.
Fearing God, it means both and none of those things.

If I won 1 million dollars, I'd probably bury it in the desert.

Public schools are both adequete and necessary.

Private schools are just like any other business to me.

Homeschooling can be a good thing for children, but it can very easily ruin them completely.

My current primary sources of news are the Marine Times, the Scuttlebutt, and whichever newspaper I feel like reading.
