So you think I will be able to come and fellowship on Sabbath without having to put my 'mod' hat or answering complaints and questions from frustrated posters? Human nature tells me that aint going to happen
Then you need to work on your self-discipline. You can do it. You have it in you.

But others can do as they please and cant be expected to use self-discipline themselves, seems a bit disingenuous and unfair..........

They do what they want to do and you do what you want to do. What is disingenuous and unfair about that?

If you were a deer and it was not hunting season but yet you still got shot, wouldnt you feel that was just not fair or kosher, well on my Sabbath I wouldnt want to have people shooting problems my way as I went about trying to share and fellowship.....

Yes, that is part of the discipline of being a moderator and separating that responsibility from what you do here as a regular member.

But why not take care of the problem with a method that would not intefere with complaints, just reduce them during that period and let everyone participate without angry debate and the resulting high levels of issues that it generates. Two purposes are served, the Sabbath is allow for all including 'mods' to fully participate, and a testimony is given to all who come to our Adventist section of the forum to the greater glory of God.........

Reddogs ... is it possible that you might not think you are ready to be a mod in this forum?
Pastors, church clerks, money changers, sorry, counters, deacons, all work on Sabbath. What you want to do is entirely up to you. Try not to become an "enforcer" of what you think should be -- after all, we Adventists are afraid of those who enforce on us (blue laws and what not).

John 5:15-18 The man left and told the leaders that Jesus was the one who had healed him. (16) They started making a lot of trouble for Jesus because he did things like this on the Sabbath. (17) But Jesus said, "My Father has never stopped working, and that is why I keep on working." (18) Now the leaders wanted to kill Jesus for two reasons. First, he had broken the law of the Sabbath. But even worse, he had said that God was his Father, which made him equal with God.

Red, God works on the sabbath, Jesus worked on the sabbath, are moderators too good to work on the sabbath?
