In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. After building up some brief history on my five main characters in my X-Men universe SL, I decided to share it with everyone. Keep in mind, this is really just an outline history, not as in dept as their actual histories and minds go. Also, it isn't really my writing style you're seeing here, more of a biographical (or autobiographical, depending on how you see it) style to summarize my characters. Now, some of these characters are rather dark, so if you're offended by that sort of thing, then do what you will with this. Again, this is rather dark, not the X-Men you grew up with on Saturday morning TV (which I miss dearly). Just read what you want and leave a comment. :) All these characters have been in development for three years now, so they are more deep than what appears. Gracias.

Alabaster Cro - - The details of his life are rather vague and unsorted. A sort of mass of unanswered questions. The basic story you get from the majority of mutants at the Xavier Institute. However, he's not an emotional teen with a troubled past; not orphaned or had a horrible child hood. These details are unbeknownst to him, though. His memory traces back to the age of 17, to the exact day he escaped from Citadel Corp., a major global company that makes a huge array of products, owns many other big name companies, and also deals in secret experiments, recently and mostly mutant studies. Cro was involved in the Magnum Project. A project to see if a regular human being could accept the genetic makeup of a mutant and take on the powers. For all intensive purposes, Cro was the only success out of 20 paitents. He was number 19. However during the testing of Cro's newly given powers, Cro desired to leave the place he had been kidnapped too and, in poetic justice, used his powers to escape the place that gave them to him. He had heard speakings at Citadel about the Xavier Institute, they calling it a "hot bed for paitents", and so he pretty much avoided that place for a year, stationing himself in an abandoned opera house, which ironically, was once owned by Citadel. However, he did not find safety there for long and soon took his chances with the Institute, finding much more safety there. However there, during a mental session with Professor Xavier, he discovered another power brewing in him. A darker side to his mind which was ment to be used to give him lack of concience when sent on assassination missions by Citadel. Knowing of this side, it started to brew up and eventually took over. It now presses Cro's true persona deep inside his mind, as the darker side roams free, though not in a rampaging madness. More complex and intellegent than his counterpart, he has no desire to kill anyone at the institute, as it is currently his best bet for escaping Citadel Corp.

"Gravedigger" -- "Gravedigger", most commonly referred to as just "Grave" is a rather complex and mysterious mutant. Hell bount on tracking down Cro and bringing him into Citadel's hands, and to his own agenda, his hands as well. "Grave" is arguablly one of the oldest mutants to date, as he refuses to die. Due to his unique power, he can manifest "death energies" that surrond the dead. The living have "life energies" that keep them stable, and are very organized in doing so. However, when a sentient dies, the energies scatter and so become "death energies", which cannot sustain the being and so it dies. "Grave'" has the power to control and organize these energies to reanimate the dead, as well as sustain his decaying form. In his own interest for mistif and chaos, he has had a hand in some of the greatest tragedies known to the world. The fall of Rome, Napoleon's rise AND fall, Hitler's agenda and immenent death, and the spread of the Black Plague. As such, he has grown quite astute in dealings with large scale plans, and so was employed by Citadel to help in their Magnum Project, and ensure that Cro completes it, which he has yet to accomplish, to his own will and Cro's strength as well. "Grave" now is the one taking up residence at the opera house, recruiting lost and confused mutants with promises of understanding and a warm home. However, most there have been dulled almost completely into completely willing slaves to his bending will. "Grave" is a crafty and dangerous foe and under no circumstances should be crossed.

William "Bones" Haste -- William Haste was widely known throughout Alabama as a mass killer, with no pattern to his murders. He would pick people off randomly. Bums, mothers, children, politicians, anyone. A distinct reason to keep people on their toes. His calling card was either the complete remodling of the victim's skeletal system or twisting them in all sorts of horrible shapes, whithout ever cutting into any of them or leaving a bruise. This was due to his power over the bones in the bodies of anything with bones in them. He could carefully craft and contort bones to his will, forcing many people to do actions against their will, in fear of their bones snapping from their resistance. William Haste was originally known as Father Haste, a conservative priest in a small town in Alabama. During his service, he started to believe that God was not listening to his prayers after the death of a young girl who attended his parish. He did not see his prayers being answered, so he began to act out against God in an attempt to "grab his attention". He figured that a man of the cloth committing murders would certainly warrent a vision from God. He continued on his rampage, ever persistant to speak to the deity he had served most of his life. He went to each of his victims' graves and left a rose and a note reading "Forgive me." on the head stone. Soon he decided that there was no god to answer him, and continued to kill, and yet continued to visit their graves afterwards. Eventually he was caught and arrested, sentenced to immediate death only two weeks in jail. He was then sceduled for two days after being in jail after removing the bones of half the immates in the prison. By a move of luck, a guard surpised him and knocked him out. The small town were too afraid to simply do away with him like a normal man, in fear that it would do nothing. They turned him over to an insane asylum that specially housed dangerous criminals like him, interestingly enough owned by Citadel. As planned by them, he was removed from his confines and then disappeared from public eye. He was employed by Citadel to do the job of bringing Cro in. He failed on numerous attempts due to Cro's protective extra layer of skin that caused William too much energy to concentrate through. Eventually "Grave" took over and "Bones" was to work with, but under, him as a right hand man. He still does to this day.

Eric "Renaissance" Smith -- World reknown as the most powerful man in industry in the world, Eric Smith has made quite a name for himself and his company, Citadel Corp. By utilizing knowledge and charm, he has taken his company up the buisness ladder to the very top, gaining control of others along the way. Not much is known of Mr. Smith before he became part of Citadel Corp., and he has yet to release any information on that. However, this man among men has a secret agenda for the world, which is domination. Slowly, he has been consuming the world bit by bit slowly and under the radar. Acting seemingly on his own, he has been a part of many secret arms dealings and manufacturings. His latest and most prized project is mutant experimentation, namely the Magnum Project. Though the world over sees Eric Smith as a mutant sympathizer, they see him only as a regular human. Quite the contrary. Eric Smith is one of the simplest, yet most complex, forms of evolution. He has no special powers to know, however he has advanced beyond normal human beings. Hightened speed, strength, intellegence, endurance, and life span have all had a role in his success and initial domination. The true nature of his Magnum Project was to see if a human being could accept the DNA of a mutant and gain the powers accordingly. Testing this theory on many mutants, he found success in one individual, Alabaster Cro. However, the tests were not fully completed as Cro escaped the labs of Citadel. Enraged by his lack of success yet being so close, Smith has made it his goal to retrive Cro and finish the project, so he himself can successfully transfer mutant DNA into himself and bring the powers to an unmatched level. Long since believed dead by Cro and missing by the world after the collapse of the main Citadel building in New York, "Renaissance" has recently returned with his same agenda, but mysterious tatics.

Terrance "Grins" Phillips -- Terrance Phillips, PhD. He was a master in his field of dentistry. He was gentle with his paitents, kind, curteous, and always loved making people smile and smile better. During his career, he complained of constant migranes, and the stress it bestowed made him very irritable, and was not as understanding with his paitents. He began to snap and bite back at people, snarl even when they tested his paitence. No one ever had good enough teeth, he believed. The source of his migranes was his developing telepathic powers. Constant thoughts driving through to him and being clouded by his insuing insanity caused him to faster slip into madness. One day, with a female paitent with very bad teeth, he snapped. He locked the door and began to work on her, without sedating her. The pain he caused her caused her death. He had pulled on her teeth till they were barely hanging onto the roots, and forced them all together with sealent. He rang her lips up with hooks which he stuck there by inserting it into her cheek bones. Also, of course, he whitened her teeth. He escaped through the window, taking his tools with him. He went on a rampage, kidnapping people and doing to them what he did to his very first victim. Soon he developed his other power, illusion. Partnered with telepathy, he could see into people's minds and bring to life before them, at least what they thought was, their worst fears. Some would kill themselves out of fear, or just die of fright. Afterwards, he would graft the forced smile on them, making their faces of fear all the more horrible to see. He was never caught, but disappeared not too soon after the disapperance of WIlliam Haste. He worked under "Bones" in the mission against Cro, and followed him into employement under "Grave". "Grins"s insanity has forced a warped mishappen of himself, forcing his own face to take on a permanent smile, and now he only giggles.

At a first glance, they seem like interesting individuals, although they all look like 'bad guys' in a way. After reading through the bios and such a couple of times, they are all very complex and deep characters, which I applaud. Very twisted and dark, as you said before. How old are they all?

Are they all bad guys or is Alabaster Cro a good guy? They all work together, apart from Eric Smith and the Citidel Corp., correct? Is there main cause to destroy Alabaster Cro, or is there something else they're going for, beside mass chaos? :) Just questions I gathered from reading over their descriptions. What is X-Men universe SL? Do you have storylines/graphic novels/comicbooks written yet? It'd be very interesting to read about these characters and how they act/react to life and such.

Overall, though, great job! I felt as though I was getting to know real people, which sort of creeped me out! :)

Well thank you very much. Always nice to hear nice things about my work.

In a way, yes. They're more fun to write that way. Alabaster used to be full good, but long story short he became more bad and lost his split personality ways. They all have their own methods of being "evil", though. Cro is more "I don't play by the rules", Grave is more for setting in motion small things to create mass chaos. Grins is just crazy and Bones believes he's not evil, though it's undeniable that his methods to solve things are. Eric Smith is very secretly evil, like a behind the scenes evil that no one would suspect.

After reading through the bios and such a couple of times, they are all very complex and deep characters, which I applaud. Very twisted and dark, as you said before. How old are they all?

Cro is 21, Bones is 68, Grins is 39, Smith is 51, and Grave is of an unknown age, but is definatly the oldest.

Are they all bad guys or is Alabaster Cro a good guy?

All but Cro are bad guys. Cro, in a sense, is the good guy, in the sense he's working against the other four. However, on his own, you wouldn't think him a hero. He doesn't go around saving kittens from trees or saving others unless they are being effected by his own demons or if it would benifit him. So, in short, he's the good guy cause he's the least evil.

They all work together, apart from Eric Smith and the Citidel Corp., correct?

Grave, Bones, and Grins are all working with Citadel Corp, though Citadel makes no public claims to this, despite those three working under the radar of the public eye; they haven't made a global apperance yet. Cro works against them. He was brought to Citadel Corp. against his will at 17 and was given his powers. After escaping, it's been part of Citadel's goal to find and retrive him to finish the experiements they started on him and to ensure he doesn't leak out the secrets about Citadel Corp. Grave, Bones, and Grins were employeed by Citadel Corp. for the reason of capturing Cro, though Grave is very independent in thought, so he sometimes does things his own way, along with other side projects.

Is there main cause to destroy Alabaster Cro, or is there something else they're going for, beside mass chaos? :) Just questions I gathered from reading over their descriptions.

Destruction is something they don't want. Since Alabaster was the only successful paitent of the Magnum Project, their goal is to capture him and find out why, so they can have a better success rate. Also, though the reasons for the whole Magnum Project to Citadel Corp. is merely secret assassinations, mutant studies, etc., Grave has his own agenda for Cro once the experiments are complete, which is to create, as you said, mass chaos. It's basically a long term hobby of Grave's. Also, the fact that Cro has thwarted Grave's best efforts intrigues his interest. Living as long as he has, few things intrigue him anymore.

What is X-Men universe SL? Do you have storylines/graphic novels/comicbooks written yet? It'd be very interesting to read about these characters and how they act/react to life and such.

The X-Men universe is basically a place to put all my characters into. It's hard to create a world for your characters to interact in sometimes, and the whole reason I chose X-Men was because it's very open to new characters and expansions and gave great way to how my characters how powers. I have a main storyline for my characters that they've been going through, but unfortunatly have not recorded it down (it happens during a role play online), but I have it allll up in my head, all the general details remembered. No graphic novels or comic books written up, I'm afraid. I don't have the manpower or talent for that, unfortunatly, lol.

Overall, though, great job! I felt as though I was getting to know real people, which sort of creeped me out! :)

Well thank you very much. I find readers become more enthralled with your characters when you humanize them.

Malev "The Cleric" Dice --Malev Dice, known throughout the mutant community as "The Healer", "The Doctor", "Savior", but he prefers "The Cleric". Whatever they call him, they all see him as a healer of mutants and humans alike. Malev's power consist of curing the mental aliments of people, and most commonly mutants. However, he only works in mutants now as he has become outcasted by many normal people and fears sometimes for his life. His healing powers do not come without a fee, though. Because of the exhaustion it does on him, he charges a hefty fee, no less than $3,000 to cure a mental disablement, a disease, etc. The greater the aliment, the more concentration is required and time to take to heal. Sometimes it is too great and he cannot perform the "miracle", as some call it. With this, he's made quite a nest egg to retire on, which he has. He lives in a large estate in New York, where he lives alone in his preferred solitude, taking only on special cases of healing. One such case was Alabaster Cro. Cro was stricken with two personalities, one dark and one light. The light was worried that the dark would harm others and himself so he went to Malev to seek healing. Paying a hefty sum of cash, Malev went to work on Cro. The results were most...unorthadox. Cro's being split into two seperate beings. Because each mind was so strong, the healing affect both, and in a sort of paradox, the minds were forced to split into two identical Cro's, but with different minds. The healing also cleansed some of the darker Cro's thirst for blood, but did not elimiate his thirst for danger. Many months later, the darker Cro would end up killing the "good" Cro in battle composed by Grave secretly. The "dark" Cro now lives on happily as the only Cro now.

---

By revealing Malev, I'm kinda giving a DVD extra. :) He was never involved directly into the SL because I couldn't find a way to fit him in because they were both my characters and I can't RP by myself, hense the account above was never really revealed. I never got around to it so he kinda was put away in the back, since he also rarely left his house or knew any other characters with whom I RPed with, so I never used him in an RP. So, his existance was pretty much ignored by me and never known by anyone else, so seeing him now is kind of a treat, even though none of you have RPed with me anyway, lol. So, enjoy this "DVD extra"! :D

How are your threads cursed?

Where do you usually RP?

You should turn this world into a novel or comic book. (I've probably already said that.)

It's very interesting that you have characters that are involved in the world you created, but never actually come to surface as playing any sort of in-the-spotlight role. It's a concept that I haven't thought much about in my writing...at least not seriously. Your depth is quite intriguing.
