  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've never had a crucifix in my home before...this is the first time, and I already enjoy it being here in my room.

Odd really, I never thought about all of these little things before...:)

And then your office at work, your car, etc......
I haven't put one in my office at work yet, but I do have a Catholic art calendar hanging(which is blessed).
Its really against company policy to have religious items in the work area, so I am hesitant to push it any further ;)

BA,

It's even nice to see them hung on the front door.

Lemme 'splain.

The crucifix is placed on the inside of your home, above the front door.

(That's how my family does it.)

My parents have a small crucifix with a patch of burlap tacked up on the outside of every doorframe.

DO IT! Break the norm. If you get into trouble for having a crucifix at your work station, then hang it around your neck. NOTHING would say Pope following Christian like that would!

I took my kids out of school instead. I home school them and both are almost adults anyway but it certainly would have been a great thing to do at the time.
Are you serious? You look like you're only about 22 years old. Sorry if that's too personal to say out loud.

My mother in law does that to; it must be a New Orleans thing. But some people around here also hang them on the front door. I am going to also; it may keep the JW’s and the Mormons away.
