My First Christmas Divine Liturgy

Tomorrow will be the first time I have ever attended a Divine Liturgy for Christmas, and for a few reasons I'm feeling a little nervous. So I would really appreciate some prayers to help me feel at peace and for everything to go well.

I hope your able to attend the festal Vespers tonight. Christmas Eve vespers is one of my favorite services of the year!

It has one of my all time favorite Orthodox hymns:


Thy Nativity, O Christ our God,

Has shone to the world the light of wisdom.

For by it, those who worshipped the stars

Were taught by a star to adore Thee,

The Sun of Righteousness,

And to know Thee, the Orient from on high.

O Lord, glory to Thee!
