• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

:D Poor Andy.

I used to have a recurring nightmare. It involved my youngest daughter, who is now 6 years old. She would open the back seat car door, while I was driving, and fall out onto the street. She would then be run over by my tires or someone elses car on the road. I always felt like I was driving and trying to stop the car and reach behind me to catch her. It was really horrific. And I must say, it's only been recently that I've stopped having this recurring fear centered dream.

Thank you. When you love someone like a parent loves a child...it makes you really know how much you stand to loose if something happens to them. And as much as I know that God is in control and will protect them, I still fear for them so much more than I ever thought possible.

I try not to be afraid of them. But, I do have some vivid visions of clothing catching and pulling people into the part where it goes underground that are pretty awful if I allow myself to go there.

I dont' really like elevators either. Specifically the kind in old buidlings. My Mother used to live in one of the penthouse apartments in an old Los Angeles hotel renovated to be an apartment building. It's elevator was known for breaking down between floors. It got to the point where I just used the stairs when I visitted her.

Oh my...OK sounds like you and I should comfort each other  I had a repeat dream of just being on one and even that concept was scary...I hope I don't have that dream again. I have an idea...We should rep each other for sharing fears...
