It has been almost 10 years since she died. I remember it I was in 3rd grade and my Mom got me out of school early because my Grandma wasnt doing so well. So we go over to her apartment, and I always took a snowball with me because she loved to eat it. So that day I had a cherry one with marshmellow on it. I walked in and she wanted a bite. So we put some in a medicine cup and gave it to her. Then I walked out and came back in and she told me to come sit on the bed. So I did, and she said (even in 3rd grade I remember this)...
"I may not see you graduate High School, or get married, or fullfill you
life goals, but one thing I know I Love You."
That was the last words she said. She died about 30 seconds after saying that. It scared me because I was only 9. I knew what had happened and I ran out and got my Mom and told her and she started crying and everyone just cried.
It was a day that I will never forget...I miss her to this day and the Holidays are still hard. But I manage it and so does my Mom.
Dear Mom-Mom,
Its Jenn. It is 2005 already. I cant believe it has been 10 years in June that you have been gone. I have graduated High School and started college. I am getting married next year and everything. You would be proud. We all miss you and we wish that you could see all of us growing up and becoming the adults you would want us to be. But I know one thing, you wouldnt want us to be sad because you are gone...So in honor of you we arent. We are keeping our spirits high and our heads high. We love you and miss you so much.
