  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was just wondering if anyone would pray for me and my family...especially my father. First a little background, my mom homeschools all us kids (4 girls) while my dad works to support us. He just got back from a week long business trip when his company called a meeting. They told everyone that next week everyone had to take a week long vacation with no pay. Secondly they dont have the money to pay them their last pay check. And finally, if there company doesnt recieve funding by December 1st, mass-layoffs will begin. The company is small, so that would include everyone except 2 or 3 people. I know God will provide for my family, but I would appreciate any prayers. I dont want to move out of state, or into a trailor ( since there is 6 of us, it would be quite hard). Please pray that either the company recieves funding, or God provides a great job for my hard working Daddy. We are a strong Christian family, and know his will ultimately the best. But this time is still quite hard. Thanks for the prayers.

Yep, I am praying for you. A little testimony. God does provide.

Anyway, my husband was out of work for 2 years (all he had was casual work and short term contracts) In that time I had a little boy. So here we were without much money coming in and a baby boy. God provided us with the clothes and toys for the baby (mostly handed down from other people, but it was still good stuff) and somehow in those 2 years, we managed not to go bankrupt and keep up the payments and the various things we had to keep paying for. God is good and he will provide for you and your family.

's and adding my prayers!

Just another testimony-my uncle several years ago lost his company to bankruptcy. One of the partners embezzled a great deal of money and then skipped town, causing the remaining partners to have to file bankruptcy. It was one of the lowest times in his life. He had no way to support his family and his wife had to go back to work to help support them. Now he is working for another company, and he is doing so great! This job seems to be better for him and he does well and is able to provide better for his family than he was when he owned his own business. Something that went terribly wrong, God was able to work to the good for my uncle. And I am sure He will do the same for your daddy!
