My family is not doing well...

My grandmother, grandfather, uncle and my mother is in Turkey right now.

My mom went because my uncle was supposed to get married. The bride cancelled the wedding; how terrible. the plane ticket money went to waste, and my uncle is depressed; and hit rock bottom. my grandfather had- had a serious operation and could possibly go to the hands of Jesus at any day; my mom is sad; my grandmother is sad.

I would like to request your prayers. Please; pray for them and their health.

if you have the power, i suggest you go to Turkey. You could probably help the situation better than anyone else because i think you take the full impact of the sitution so you understand it the most. Pray for you

I am going to church tonight for the midnight Pascha service of the Holy Resurrection of our Lord. It was for these people and their problems (including us) that our Lord suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again FOR US....I will light a candle for your family and pray for them, their healing, their salvation....I will pray for you too dear one...

Dear Umut:

Know that I will pray for you and yours. Hope you can attend Pascha services.

Pray to St. Nicholas that they may find their way into Orthodoxy. Sometimes Jesus will appear to Muslims -- a lot have converted in this manner -- pray that this happens and that they know Him as their God and Savior.

It's more important that you show them love at this time, but keep your faith too. Let Jesus witness to them through your love. At this time preaching is not your vocation except by your good example which can do more than words.

Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
