I said to ChatGPT
Make a recipe for me!
Include bananas, yogurt and oat
And waited patiently as it wrote

A recipe for bread
Or was it cake?
It provided ingredients
And instructions for bake

I followed all to the letter
Surely ChatGPT could do better
Than myself as a cook
Or whatever I could find in a book

Two hours have now passed
My optimism now cannot last
As my bread sits wet in the pan
Sad and wobbly like a flan

Husband will soon be awake
To see and taste my mistake
What? You ask, have I learned
Use a robot and be burned!

I can understand your predicament.

I tried to follow a very simple recipe from the BBC website. A "simple chicken curry" it was called. Very few ingredients needed and just a few easy steps to prepare and cook it!

I bought a new dining table recently and invited some friends around. What a perfect opportunity to impress them with my culinary expertise!

Well, my friends weren't impressed, and neither was I.

I tried to give the perfect excuse, that the optician had given me the wrong set of prescription glasses, so found it difficult to follow the recipe.

My friends, being as polite as they are, tried to eat what they could, but sadly they left quite a bit behind on their plates.

After all the leftovers were tossed into the bin, they had time to marinate and the "curry" in the bin started to smell much nicer and more fragrant than the one served at the table.

Wow, bad timing with friends over! I think my husband is probably more understanding and no pressure for me with him, ha!

Too bad about the BBC fail! I kind of expect ChatGPT to be hit and miss but not the BBC!
