Evolution is a theory that explains certain facts about the natural world. Just like gravity explains why water flows downhill. There's nothing 'wrong' about it. That flowing water might result in a flood that destroys a town, but the water could not have done otherwise.

As noted above, evolution has produced many non-optimal solutions. These are not examples of evolution going 'wrong', but evolution working the only way it can work.
