my eldest son's trial

i'm broken hearted. my son fought his diagnosis and refused meds. what's worse is he drank beer. now he's sitting in jail because he lost his temper and hit someone. he's so upset and scared. he's willing to do all the things he should have done/ been doing. but the charges against him are pretty serious. he's devistated at what he's done. he's vowed not to quite counselling this time; keep taking his meds, and never drink again.
i'm so broken for him. i'm praying that a loop-hole will allow him to get charges suspended, pending him fallowing through with theraphy, meds, and probation.
Lord, please rescue and bless my son.

Father in heaven, please hear my prayer with compassion. Your precious daughter and her son are in pain. Please be their comfort, and guide them with your vast knowledge! Be her son's strenght douring this time and always! I pray it be your will to through your grace, give him the chance to embrace you and follow through on his commitments! Dearest Sister in the Lord and dearest friend! I know what you are going through as my soon hit a co-worker and was charged with assault. Ask your attorney about things like mental health defenses, stipulation of charges etc! My son did not want us involved and we honored his choices. he was charged with assault four, got fines and a bench parole, had to keep his nose clean for two years (we are almost there, and has a monthly payment schedule on his fines. he had to take a drug and alcohol basic class and a anger management class. He still drinks and abuses marijuana, but he is more consistent with his meds. Is back in college after a trip home for a little over a year, and found a peaceful place in himself to the point that he has thanked us for all he put us through in his teen years. He got a 4.0 at college this last term (after going off meds and flunking out last time through!) He has some difficulty finding a place to rent as assault is not a good thing. Know there is hope around the bend. My son is 22 and my main prayer for him is to return to his faith that he has left behind in order to justify his drugs and drinking!

it's so heart breaking. the consequences can be a blessing if he's forced into staying in theraphy etc. but if he goes to prison, it will devistate his young family. i'm just wanting enough compassion to give him consequences without tearing his family apart. your prayers mean alot. thank you.

AMEN and AMEN!!! My son got a deferred sentence, so he has prison awaiting if he screws up again during his two year bench parole.

Dear Golden violet I am sorry for your son's crisis, but I commend you on not having to be hospitalized for that. Maybe this is a sign that you are becoming emotionally fit enough where you don't need to go to the hospital, but only on rare occassions. Stay fit, and stay normal. I hope your son gets probation. Who knows maybe it was self defense?

i'm tossing around alot of stress right now. my son's trial was moved. he's looking at five years. it gets worse; his family witnessed it, so now he's angry we talked to the police. blame. anyhow, it gets worse. my daughters told the school that i beat and bruise them. now i'm very shaken up. i'm on leave/teattering on resigning. the accusations against me where already proven a messed up scheme. besides the family being outraged that they tried to have me arrested/hospitalized (whatever?! )... i'm afraid in my own house. i can bearly speak whenm the girls are around. i just get all choked and hurt. i'm really messed up. my therapist told the social workers that i couldn't stay well in the home with them. they are also showing symptoms of bipolar, so the state is looking into putting them in foster homes. my family refused to take them under the circumstances. the state says we can do family theraphy and stuff together. all the mental health problems in our family is very distressing and discouraging. seeing my family ripped apart by mental health, and now by my children's paths. i'm shattered. i'm confused. i'm scared for us. i feel God has not seen how faithful i've been. i'm horrified at myself for thinking such a thing. how faithful are we anyway? i know is not caple of wronging me. so i'm just pouring out all this grief as fast as it floods my thoughts. all things work to good for those who love the Lord. i'll fight. i'll cry. i'll fall daily upon my face until the Lord has heard me. or taken His wrath from my sight. i may not be back for awhile. i started posting clear headed; but now i'm far from right minded. forgive me. xo dee

I feel for you and your family. If your son is not taking his meds, I would be very careful about believing what he says. Hopefully, he will get back on meds and get leveled off. I will keep you in my prayers.

I have a 37 yr old daughter diagnosed with BP. She is divorced with 3 children. She is not taking her meds right now and has made some very risky decisions. There is also a chance that she could be arrested if she doesn't keep her court date for collections. Please pray for us as well.

I am not proslythizing, I am not getting poltical. I merely am pointing out, when I see a good person go through some bull like you are going through, deep down inside, in my heart of hearts, and my most sober of minds and opinions, I know there is no God. There maybe a creator to the universe, but the second, something like that happens, that really is a shot of reality, and you see religion as total superstion, the biggest and longest con ever run.

I hope you can keep your family together, but don't be afraid, if you find you can no longer believe in God, who just doesn't seem to care, or have anything to do with us. Get a good lawyer, and know your rights so you can protect yourself, I hope your family situation works out, but make sure you don't go to jail, and your lawyer can help with that.

One out of one hundred adults in america are behind bars. These are sad facts, and I wish you well, hang in there.

bless your hearts! everything is going really well for me. the Lord favored me with many things through this. my son is still looking at prison, but they are weighing out the benefits of putting him through probation and theraphy; as the person he hit is also seeking both theraphy and resolution. the issues with my daughters has died down some. my eldest daughter is repentant and cooperating with theraphy. my youngest is digging in her heals; but the police made her sit in the back of their car while they decided if they should charge her with false reporting or not. i think it was a scare tactic. but anyhow, the social workers have been awesome and very respectful. it helps that my husband works for the department of justice, and we both have credible and supportive lifestyles. anyhow. my doctor is sending me for an eval and med check with a specialist. he thinks that the undo stress isn't the source of my scattered brain. lol. anyhooo. lol. thomas, bless you. i know there is a God. even in my burdens and trials, His promises keep me safe. i'd love to talk to you about spiritual or biblical questions. well, with all that's happend, i can tell you all that the first few days blew me off my feet. i thought it would be a long haul for me to get back to being grounded and well. surprisingly, all the support, and spiritual blessings have lifted me up and past alot of grief and burden. the Lord has favored us. i'm praising that i fought feelings tempting me to dispair. well, i did dispair, i just was not overcome by it ... we all know that this is a huge miracle to be lifted out of a trauma and stressfilled situation. i'm amazed. God is so good. but even if i had been subject to a longer trial, i know that it would have had alot of spiritual growth for all of us. i wish i could share the faith and love i'm exsperiancing with everyone. thank you for being here for me. bless you all. thank you. xo dee
