Let's set the Bible aside in this thread and run on pure military science.

How would you orchestrate getting 603,550 of your people, who are under the watchful eye of the most powerful nation on the face of the earth, out of the country?

Keep in mind that your subordinates are expected to show up for work every day and will probably come home beaten to a pulp for not having worked fast enough.

Also keep in mind that there are:

1. No weapons available.
2. No one with military experience.
3. The male population is dwindling under Pharaoh's infanticide program.

Id ask god to poke pharoah in the eye with a sharp stick if he didnt get in line with the program. Or if i were feeling more "christian" i could ask god to just flip a kinda switch in there that would make pharoah see how he was being mean, apoligize and help us all go home. That is, if god couldnt think of it himself. That way nobody gets hurt, even if it does mess up the heroic legend stuff.

That´s easy. I go to the oppressors commander and tell him that we would pack our bags and leave. He agrees and let´s us go.

What point might it be that he is trying to make? That it was exactly 603,550 people? Was there like a snapshot in time, and as the numbers changed, just pick that moment coz it rounds off (or "truncates") at an even multiple of ten?

Seriously, the whole story is about how 'god" helped out his "chosen people", so what is the point of leaving out the main actor?

Your "persecution" and comparison to Christ bit is getting REALLY far fetched. Lighten up!

Like i said, flip a little switch in the guys head and let him see Sweet Reason, no need to be get all those babies killed by angels, drown horses and etc.

There is already enough problems with the parameters. So if you want to include everything from your story, without allowing for the other side to contribute... the challenge is quite moot.

I could have given another answer, based on historical and archeological research: How do you get all these people out of the country? Answer: you don´t.

The Exodus did not happen. Not in the way described in the Bible. Not with God´s help or without. But that is not something that you or AV are interested in.

Sorry, but in order to show it has happened, you need to bring some evidence - and, within the scope of the challenge, without using the Bible.

Ok lets check our situation report a bit more.

So we are talking about a hypothetical group of people. Is the number 603,550 exact, or approximate? If approximate, how approximate? Could it vary between say, 3 individuals and 99 million?


They are in ancient Egypt, as indicated by the mention of a Pharoah.

No intervention by any supernatural power is allowed in this scenario for getting them out of the country.

No details about where the borders might be, or what country they might like to go to.

Anything else pertinent that was left out of the first sit rep?

You know --- while you Atheists and Agnostics are yakking and adding noise to this thread, keep in mind that Pharaoh has an infanticide program in progress, and there are 603,550 people in the OP waiting for their leader to show up.
