My dream

Last night I had the best but strangest dream. I'm not sure where to post about so hopefully this will help.
I was walking with my mom (who has been deceased for a long time) in this beautiful city, nothing like I have ever been to. As we are walking I noticed a young man who was walking towards us and he was the most beautiful person I've ever seen almost angelic. As he gets closer I can smell what seems like the beautiful fragrance of gardenia and maybe roses. So I ask my mom if she smells it too but before she could answer he looks over at me and reaches for my hand with this beautiful smile/face then all of a sudden I fall to my knees with the most amazing feeling but I'm speechless. And then I wake up. The strange part is I can swear that I still smelt that fragrance after I woke up. I don't go to church as often as I should but I'm still searching for one considering we have moved to a new town. But has anyone ever had this happen before?

I had a dream about a daughter that is in Heaven. There were two angels in the dream. No reason to go into all the details because over time I learn more about what I saw in the dream.

Well, it sounds very vivid and wonderful, for certain. I know you want answers about what it was exactly and if it was from God and a true picture of Heaven, but none of us can obviously answer those questions since none of us have been there...

However, nothing in what you said was contrary to Biblical descriptions of Heaven and the mention of a city actually fits the description of Heaven. Whether this was your brain stitching together information it has stored and making a congruent picture of it all, or actually a dream sent to you for your encouragement, I cannot say.

I wouldn't mind having a dream like that, however!

Oh okay that's possible.

Yeah, I mean, is there a nice smell associated with Jesus in Heaven? Perhaps. I'm doubtful He would have smelled that great on Earth, just regarding the lack of deodorants and more animals around and His frequent interactions with dirty people. But in Heaven, who knows?

There have been Catholic saints who were reported to smell nice after they had died or even years later, but I never know what to make of those claims... I'm not Catholic myself.
