  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Please pray for me as I continue to seek God's calling in my life...

I am going to become an Extraordinary Minister and Lector. I decided this tonight as it's been something that I've been praying about lately. Over the next couple of years, I will seek discernment through prayer, particularly in adoration, for the Diaconate...

I feel, as I've stated before, a strong calling to ministry. My calling to His Church is, what I feel, to be just one more step closer to whatever ministry he's calling me to fulfill.

I want to be sure though. I don't want to "ride on an emotional high" from my recent confirmation. And the only way to do that is to start in smaller vocations, and continue in prayer. The Lord will let me know when he's ready for me to take the next step. I'm sure of it.

*smiles and hugs you* I've been both, and I can tell you it's a double blessing if you do it with heart and soul in service of Him and your parrish. A blessing for the parrish, and a blessing for yourself.
There is little stronger then the feeling you get when speaking those words and realising it is not you speaking, that you are only a pass through window that gives voice to something more.

A wise choice as well to take your time for further decisions. God will make His calling for you clear.
Be loved and blessed!

O God, you sent your Son, Jesus, to bring eternal life to those who believe. I join him in praying for laborers for your harvest. May your Holy Spirit inspire men and women to continue his mission through your priesthood, diaconate, religious life and lay ministry. May this same Spirit make known your will for my life.
