I'd like to tell you about my recent depression I HAD.
I was unemployed for over three years and it seemed like there were no prospects for employment.I had been reduced to relying on charity for food, power bills, and transportation (the car had died).
I had put in innumerable applications, but no one would call,,I did have one interview, but they decided to go with youth over experience.
I was feeling worthless, unable to support my family the way I knew I needed to..depression set in and THAT made me to not want to do anything. It is a vicious cycle.
My brother basically threw us under the bus,not willing to help us..he can afford to,he is an M.D.
Finally, I got an interview and was hired(I start Tuesday morning)
I no longer mope around the house,my attitude has improved immensely, and I am actually beginning to enjoy life again.
Depression hurts..for me,it was a dull, blah ache. There was no physical reason behind it..the doctors could not pin it down..now that the depression is lifting, that is going away.
I am thankful for the prayers that have been lifting me up here at CF,and am paying some forward..I pray that all of you that are suffering through this sometimes overlooked condition begin to have the weight taken off of your shoulders and that you begin your own recovery from this.
Peace to all of you.
