This is my 2nd. The first one was a doe. Now I am going to hunt for bucks since my freezer is pretty full :]

Rifle season starts up here the first weekend in November. We are allowed two this year in our zone for the first time in a long time. With this goofy early cold weather I think the rut is mostly over though.

Howdy Bro, No the first doe, I killed with my rifle because we have a antlerless season, This button buck i got with my muzzleloader, I actually thought it was a doe and was trying to fill my doe tags up but a button down here counts as a doe anyway. We are allowed 6 deer. Two bucks and four does with bow, gun and muzzleloader combined.
Yeah I don't hunt for horns ethier as they are hard to fry and even harder to get a fork in. lol

I don't think we have room in the freezer for more than one deer right now, because we butchered 45 broiler chickens this fall.
Plus all the vacuum sealed veggies from the garden.
Oh well, at least we are stocked up for the long cold winter.

Bless you too my Brother,
I have a vacuum sealer and bags that was given to me and I have never even tried it.
I really should I know, but I keep forgetting it whenever I work up deer meat or fish.
At the end of the season, I grind a lot of shoulder meat and various other scrapes and I think I will dig it out and try it :]

Nice! Just to mention, if you soak that bear in ginger ale (or any pop) overnight it will be tender with all the wild game taste gone. I also soak my venison roasts overnight in ginger ale.
