The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

AMEN! And you are so right about people with OCD, especially the compassionate part that works so beautifully along with that attention to detail, which God uses in remarkable ways through His children who are willing to be used by Him. You along with many others on this forum will be able reach out and touch the lives of hurting people that you would not have been able to do otherwise. God turns the crud into something beautiful because that is WHAT HE DOES! He uses all of it, every last little bit, and nothing is wasted. What a relief for so many of us who feel we have "wasted" so much precious time dealing with this disease. God is a total time recycler. For every hurtful and difficult moment we experience, He puts in us an ability to understand pain that we didn't have before. And He uses that! God is so good

I don't know any of you people's real names, but in my prayers I'll see each and everyone of you, God is powerful enough to notice all of you strangers in this one site.
Oh and the weird thing is that you mentioned the OCD compassion thing, I considered it before but now I know its true, hmm... anyways, God bless!
