As I said, it was an oversight on my part, since I knew what part of your post I was responding to and didn't want to post your whole spiel.

I would say that intrigue is the best one of your suggestions. So why? Why are you so hung up on the issue of slavery?

IN MY OPINION, it is because some people are good at using issues ... such as slavery ... to rub Christians' noses in them.

But then ... when the shoe is on the other foot ... and someone discovers that Mother Nature uses slavery to forge a symbiotic relationship for survival, you're "caught with your pants down," and the result ... at least initially ... is to ad hom the person making the points, because he or she is seen as a threat.

And believe me, I'm no psychoanalyst ... and I could be wrong.

But as I said before: this stuff makes good Sunday school material.

You didn't even ask me a question in the first place. And no, human slavery is not a symbiotic relationship. It is a conscious effort to deprive one group of humans of their rights and freedoms purely because the other group believed that they were superior to them.
