Take me for instance.

Say I held to the idea that there are only 100 elements in the Periodic Table.

I'd be behind the times, wouldn't I?

Kinda daft?

Or say I refused to accept heliocentrism vis-à-vis geocentrism, combustion vis-à-vis phlogiston, or chemistry vis-à-vis alchemy?

I'd be daft, wouldn't I?

Here's my challenge:

What if I refused to accept electroweak force vis-à-vis electromagnetism/weak nuclear force?

Then you'd be wrong.

How is this a challenge?

Many, for reasons that I don't understand refuse to accept science.
Keep in mind I wasn't asking about rejecting science.

I was asking about rejecting the merger of the electromagnetic force with the weak nuclear force into one force called the "electroweak force".

And for those who refuse to accept science ... well ... they can go live in a cave then.

1. This isn't a technocracy we live in, and no one is trying to steampunk science.
2. We don't stand in the way of technological advancements, so we're not harming anyone or stunting the growth of their research.
Yes. Creationists, conservatives and conservatives christians have been halting or slowing down research that they seem unfit like stem cell research, research on climate change, research for renewable energy sources etc.
Conservatives are waging war on US academia.pdf
It's not the war on terror but a war on science

3. A teacher that teaches we came from Adam, and not Magilla Gorilla, isn't going to prevent one of her students from going on to hybridize winter wheat or the edible banana, find oil, square a circle, or anything else that is pending discovery.
Yes he will. A college student who wants a good start needs a good deal of factual knowlegde. To know what an acid is, the structure of DNA, basic algebra, etc. But above all, this college student needs to be familiarized with the scientific method, with the notion that empirical evidence trumps authority.
The teacher that teaches that we come from Adam will have failed in both aspects. Planted wrong facts in the students head and will have insisted that authority trumps research. Worth, if fiiting the mold of the conservative christians as explained in different papers linked above, he will have planted a distrust in science, an anti-research attitude.
He will has stumped a possible career and deprived the nation of a functional brain.

Nonsense.
The term born again has become widely associated with the evangelical Christian renewal since the late 1960s, first in the United States and then around the world. Associated perhaps initially with Jesus People and the Christian counterculture, born again came to refer to a conversion experience, accepting Jesus Christ as lord and savior in order to be saved from hell and given eternal life with God in heaven, and was increasingly used as a term to identify devout believers.[13] By the mid-1970s, born again Christians were increasingly referred to in the mainstream media as part of the born again movement.
Born again - Wikipedia.
I don't think that a 17th anglican (Isaac Newton) or 19th century Roman Catholics like Louis Pasteuran Gregor Mendel would have self identified as "born again". As the big absent, the Big Bang Theory that was first proposed by George Lemaitre, a catholic priest. Catholics don't count as born again, when it suits the deceptive makers of that list.

Lord Kelvin, the man who calculated the age of the earth as being 20 - 40 million years old. Again, that fact is obviously not mentioned by the deceptive makers of your list. And it makes a very fine Born Again, bible believing christian indeed.

Francis Bacon?
Francis Bacon - Wikipedia
A 17th century anglican? I doubt he would have self identified as born again.
Bacon has been called the father of empiricism.[7] He argued for the possibility of scientific knowledge based only upon inductive reasoning and careful observation of events in nature. He believed that science could be achieved by the use of a sceptical and methodical approach whereby scientists aim to avoid misleading themselves.

He would have laughed at you Boolean standards.

Posts like this is why I say that one of academia's job is to pluto every jot and tittle of the Bible.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Are you saying Anglicans and Catholics can't be born again?

If not, what does it matter if Mendel or Newton don't "self identify" as being born again?

Even I could start claiming tomorrow that I'm not born again; but God says otherwise, and that's what matters.

They might be fooling themselves (and you), but they aren't fooling God.
