  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We lift up lambslove's dad, and her, up to You into Your heavenly arms for safekeeping and good health.  We pray Lord that you heal his weakened heart, either from a miracle or the wisdom that we ask you to give the Dr's.  We pray for a speedy recovery for your child, and to give lambslove peace beyond all understanding and comfort during this stressful time.

I just talked to my dad and he's going tomorrow for a catheritization to pinpoint where the blockage is and then for the bypass either Wednesday or Thursday (Wednesday I hope! The sooner the better!)

He said he's been having pain in his chest for years but he chose to ignore it. :sigh: Fathers!

So, I'll be driving to Youngstown tomorrow to be with him. Pray for my safe travel and my sister's safe travel, since she'll be coming down from Cleveland.

My dad is 72 and his name is Stephen Vargo.
