My class

I had my first adherancy class yesterday. It's all stuff that I have studied on my own but we need to go through the formalities I suppose. Nice bunch of people though. I'm officially on my way to Soldiership now. It feels like I am beginning my walk now. I'm very happy!

Yeah, I guess they feel we need to work our way up? Our Sgt Mjr has just been going over the Doctrines and some terms so far.

Excellent. Great to hear. Are you guys using "Chosen to be a soldier", or a newer book? The older book, although less modern, gives some good pointers if you want to lead a really DEEP life in the Lord. Books by Brengle and Allister Smith are also good for people wanting to walk a deeper walk with Him.

This is rather just a booklet called HANDBOOK FOR ADHERENTS. It was revised in 1994. It outlines what Adherents are: Not a member of any other religious body, indicate a desire to become an adherent, be of good character, support financially, use the SA for ceremonies, and have your name entered on a Government or religious census as belonging to the SA.
The booklet has Q&A, glossary of terms, the doctrines and an application for enrollment as an Adherent.
