  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just wondering if anybody knows what this is supposed to mean in the animal kindom. When I lay down my cat sits on me and starts almost massaging me. She just looks like she's almost walking in place with only her front paws or kneading dough. I was just wondering if anybody knew what that meant? I mean I'm guessing it's a sign of affection. Has anybody else encountered this or should I set up a place of business for my cat?

You're right, it is a sign of affection. Any happy cat in the world'll flex their paws when they're, well, happy.:D

Having heard every reason in the book as to why cats use this action to show their luff, I can't say I know of a difinitive motive behind the behavior. But I will say, don't let that cat eat too much or the process is painful!;)

Blessings,
