• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm hoping to get on here more in a few weeks after school starts or in late July after the wedding (when I'll have a lot more time), but for now, I thought that I would post a link to my blog: www. bring-the-rain.blogspot.com.

Sometimes I journal my devotions, other times I pick an issue and discuss it, etc. It is meant to be an encouragement to believers, an evangelistic means for sinners, and a support for those dealing with difficult circumstances.

More time after the wedding? Ah, the idealism of youth. I can't tell you how much you have been missed. Who are you again? ;)

Dearest Erin - you've been missed:hug::hug:

This reminds me that my wife was telling me about a guy who remembered valintines day and as a graphic designer made a card for his girlfriend in which he remembered where they met, what ime it was, the flight number that they flew on when they met and all the details down to her friends. She asked me why I couldn't be that romantic. I told her he was that romantic because he was still trying to close the deal and marry her. :p

Haha! Well, I'll be by myself more after the wedding. Currently, I am living with some friends from church and commuting to school every day (still a 20 minute drive, but it beats sitting on the highway during the morning rush and taking three hours to get to school) and then driving home on the weekends. After the wedding, I'll live eight minutes from school and forty-five minutes from my family. Since I have a year of college left and I won't be working this summer (I'll be helping with my DIY wedding), I'll need some friends since my soon-to-be DH works a mandatory 50 work week. :) Haha. Perhaps I'm wrong after all--I guess we'll see!

Try this, CDL:

Bring the Rain

Whoooa... even posting the URL transforms the link into the title of the page... interesting. I don't think I've ever seen that before! It's annoying, actually. But there you go.

You have email. Get back to me as soon as you can...and it may be an AOL thing. AOL is a nightmare in Linux, and isn't very friendly with Windows systems either. This assumes of course that AOL is your internet service provider.
