Hello everyone. I just thought I would share a little about my great-great-aunt Ruth. She has been a member of the Salvation Army for over 70 years!! Her father was also a member of the SA. He is my 2nd great-grandfather, so aunt Ruth is my great-grandmother's sister, and still living!
Aunt Ruth has been such a wonderful inspiration to me. I can talk with her about anything, and she is sorta like my spiritual mentor. Aunt Ruth was a captain in the SA and played her trumpet for many years.
She still volunteers, even at the age of 86 years! She helps babysit the pastor's children, and has taken on the challenge of counseling a family who is struggling with drug addiction. She is an amazing woman. I just wish that my great-grandmother could still be alive and see what God has done with her little baby sister.
My great-grandmother was born in 1890, and aunt Ruth was born in 1920, so there's quite a gap between all the children.
I stop by later and share more about aunt Ruth and her experiences with the Salvation Army.
