I believe the book because the book says to believe the book and if you don't believe the book you're going to go to hell. So believe the book. Would you like to hear my testimony? I've witnessed some amazing things. One day the hero of the book, Jebas, is going to return to us and take us all, or 144,001 of us, or something, to heaven with him. So you need to be prepared. All you have to do is believe in him. And do good deeds. And swear the Jebas scout pledge. Then you'll go to heaven too. Did I mention you have to eat some of Jebas and drink his blood? That too. Who told you Jesus rose from the dead? The same book? The book which wants you to think it's the word of God? Not exactly a neutral source...

Unfortunately, as much as I want to be one, I am not. I don't feel I can adequately defend that position. My pastor, who has two doctorates, is a YEC --- but I'm not.

Don't quote me on this, but I think he has a Doctor of Theology from Greensboro [North Carolina] Baptist College; and a Doctor of Divinity honorary degree from Pensacola Christian College.

His thesis was on the book of Deuteronomy --- his favorite book of the Bible.
