• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Are u in a local Recovery program? I am a recovering addict by the grace of God, I have been clean for 8 months now. The main thing that helps me is to pray, but to also remind myself of the person it made me when I was on drugs, I continually look at my life now and the happiness God has given to me. I stay away from anyone or anything that may trigger me to want to do drugs again, I know it can be hard but u have come to far to go back, God can help u over come all circumstances just trust him when u feel weak, and find u a local recovery group or a sponsor to call when u feel weak. God bless you I will be praying for you. Hang in there:pray:

Look at things before you were struggling with addiction. If you could go without it then, you can do it now. It's all about your mindset. You can tell yourself you're going to stop but you have to really mean it. There is no getting high "once in awhile" .. Either you're clean, or you're addicted.

If you're serious about staying off drugs, the first step is always to get away from the drugs and the users, even if they are your friends. God will give you the strength, you just have to use it.
