Good for your daughter for standing up for what she believes in! If it offends her, I would talk to the teacher about it. They should not make her listen to it. It doesn't matter if you don't think it's offensive. She needs to be able to stand up for what she believes. The Bible says going against your concience is sinning. I really comend her!! You should be proud!

My husband warned me that I would be slaughtered for saying what I am about to say ! But thats okay it won't be the first time ! I have seen and read and heard enough to know that when some one says that there is no witch craft in Harry Potter . If one has the power to cast spells isn't that witch craft ?

My kids will never watch or feast their eyes on it ! being Autistic it would probably scare them into a severe melt down anyway. If they ever learn to read they will never read it either

As a Christian I can not justify it ! We as Christians and as Parents should have the right to stand up for what we beleive God is telling us and if the world wants to see us as overbearing and crazy idiots then let them.

Though I would encourage christians to actually live what they beleive . I have seen far to many Christians condem and Critsize non Christians in a vicious ,judgemental way for doing something that goes against our beleifs when we are supposed to respond to them in love and have and know of some non christians like my brother in law and my husbands freind rufuse to come to Christ because of our cut throat critical and sometimes hyprocritcal attitudes.

Many in this world are falling into the devils trap beleiving that Christianity is for the weak and wimpy hyprocrites not realizing that we as Christians (have asked Christ In our hearts) . Are not without sin ourselves we are just sinners saved by Gods grace.

I am sure I offended someone its pretty hard not too in forums with so many different faiths an beliefs represented here and for that I apologize,but one thing life has taught me . Is that if you life trying not to offend anyone,you'll eventually offend someone anyway because we are all human with human emotions (ect)

Hi Laura, you make a good point, but this is probably better off in a Harry Potter debate forum. You can find lots of people there who share your view, as well as those who challenge it.
