  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I really like em. I would love to be able at least a couple of their songs & music in a worship time at my church. Not sure how to pull that off though.
And I'm still trying to get a hold of their cd, apparently the music stores in the area have a plot againist me, but that's ok I'll beat them yet ...or just get it online ..haven't decided.

Who here has heard of Mutemath?

Dude, Mutemath is insane! I saw them live with David Crowder back in November of last year, right after I had gotten the CD, and they freakin' blew my mind! Unbelievable...

Good stuff, although I've heard some say that Earthsuit was better.

You and I are fellow musicians/music-elitists, so take it from me: Earthsuit was not better than Mutemath...assuming you're talking about live-performance ability...but, I realize now that you might not be talking about that.

Well, I'll just roll with my original statement since I've seen both bands live: Earthsuit was not better than Mutemath. :D

You'll be pleased with them @ C-Stone...

Actually, I don't remember Earthsuit's stuff. I remember when they were around, but honestly, I never gave them a chance because I thought the name was really cheesy. I know, I know, I'm shallow. :D

But yeah, MuteMath's stuff is amazing. Unless I'm working, I will be able to catch their set at the fest. Booyah.

PS-foo, I need to burn you that U2 boot still, can it wait until post-fest? Also, you need to PM me your address. Lemme know.

Since they have more or less the same lineup, would it be more fitting to say that the new ep was an improvement upon kaleidascope superior whilst operating under a different name?

MuteMath and Macrosick are both great bands (Macrosick is better, IMO). But Earthsuit WAS a much better band than either of the offspring of it. (I'm not talking about live performance either). Have any of you heard their music from The Rise of Modern Simulation, or either of their EPs? Unbelieveably awesome, awesome music.

:doh:I knew that. I thought there was another band besides Mutemath that was formed.
I knew Mutemath was Earthsuit before I saw it in print. Anyone want to venture a guess?
