Sammy dropped from the window just in time to see Jason round the corner. She ran after him, hoping to catch him before he did something foolish...

Connor didn't know what to say. He couldn't let anyone stay behind to fight by themselves, but there was no way these guys were ready for a full powered fight. These mutant gangs were well trained and ruthless, not the kind of people any of them wanted to mess with. But what other option did they have???

Aiden grinned. He loved the adrennaline rush that always came with a fight, especially when it was against a group of people.

"I say we teach these government loving snobs where their loyalties should really be."

Scarlet listen as they all seemed to be unsure what they all would do next. What idiots. Scarlet had no patience for these slightly newer members. Scarlet had been here longer than any of the guys here now. All of the higher members were on the other side of town.

"Why are waisting our time with these FBI agents, again? i 'll tell you why. Not because were trying to get them to leave the FBI, but because we want to scare off any potential Mutant agents. We want to make this so big, that no one wants to even risk getting in our path. "

Scarlet paused for a momemt.

"plus, we want to show them where their loyalties should lie." She added with a smile.

Kyler kept glancing back and forth from the window to the people around him, awaiting for instruction. He wasn't one to ever speak up. As the tension rose, Kyler became more and more fearful. And soon he started turning ivisable uncontrolably in bloches. Then it hit him

"why dont we just call the police. If these guys are as bad as we think, then the police should be happy to take them in, that is if they come fast enough."

With the target identified and his part in that over, Constantine returned to his normal silence while maintaining his observation of their targets in case they made a move.

He was not, however, unaware of what was going on with his fellow gang members. In fact he was tightly tuned-in to what was being said in case his input was required.

Of all the others here Constantine disliked Scarlet the most for reasons even he couldn't pin down; the others were all fairly new, still green in his books, and could mostly be ignored or not as needed.

Since he was still keeping an eye on the group in the shoppe, he was aware of their increasing nervousness (as evidenced by one phasing in and out of visibility). Constantine was also able to distinguish some of what was being said. So speaking up again, "If we're going to to something we might want to stop yapping and get on with it. 'Cause one of them just mentioned something about the police."

Aiden nodded and looked towards Scarlet.

"So.. how is this gonna go down?? We going in, or luring them out??"

Connor saw that one of the younger guys, Kyler, was getting very asnxious. He recommended calling the police.

"This is a mutant gang we're talking about. The police are plain humans... they don't have the manpower to deal with the likes of them. No... calling the police will only result in havok and blood shed. Besides, it doesn't seem like they want to make a scene inside. Perhaps we could just stay here until they decide to find someone else to mess with. If they don't leave, we can always just call the FBI to come and get us.."

Sammy raced around the corner after Jason, but by the time she rounded the bend, he was already turning the next corner. She ran faster, determined to catch him.

Komodo wasn't usually one to speak up. But Scar's comments worried him. He wished his cousin was here, he may not like her much but at least she was family and he'd feel more comfortable with her around. "Big? But we're not going to hurt them right? Just scare them, right? That's what we agreed on, that we weren't going to actually hurt them." If the gang did hurt the students, he'd be responsible. He was the one that told the others where they were.

Hope bit her bottom lip. There was no protocol for this type of situation. They were all sitting here trying to figure out one to do when no one knew any better than the next what the answer was. "I guess we could call someone. Even full agents call for back-up right? But isn't that why they recruited us? Because they can't handle mutant gangs like this? Maybe the best answer would just to all go out there together, as a group, show them we're not afraid and just walk right past them." She knew that would never happen, but she wanted so much for it to be true.

Caitlyn glanced out the window at the gang still standing around outside. "somehow Hope, I get the feeling it wouldn't happen quite like that." she felt for her ring, remembered she'd lost it, and started tugging at her hair instead. "in any case, we should figure out what we're doing soon, because it would be nice to know before they come in here. If they come in here." though there didn't seem to be too much to indicate they were just going to walk away...

Scarelet smiled " dont worry about it. " But she knew that when it came down to it, she wouldn't be so concerned about the safety fo those traitors. Komodo was weak and cared too much. He reminded her of someone, but who? Oh yes, and old former member, Flame. He was oh so similar. Flame was the kinda guy who didn't want to participate inn any of the gang activity, he at first didn't want to hurt anyone either. but after a while it became something he was less concerned about. Soon Comodo would get more into the gang, just like Flame. It was a shame they had to get rid of Flame, after all he was so powerful, but he didn't belong with them, and he would have only caused them trouble in the future. Thats why they staged to have him cuaght by the police. They got themselves into trouble, then left Flame to take the fall, but it had to be done. They couldn't risk killing him, cause when you mess with fire, you just might get burned. But now they had Komodo to worry about. Hopefully he would wise up and step up to the plate.

Scarlet was so encased in her ownt houghts that she hadn't even noticed the opening of a samll door on the side of the icecream shop. It wasn't until she heard the noise of the grils running footsteps, that she turned to look. Then a thought came into her head.

"You boys stay here. I'll be right back." Then she ran into the ally to follow the young girl. She saw her turn a corner and dashed after her. The poor girl didn't even notice Scarelet coming up behind her until Scarelet spun her around and pinned her to the wall.

"You're coming with me." Scarlet said to the poor girl as she held a gun to her head.

Constantine watched Scarlet run after the girl and smiled coldly. This should be interesting! Not knowing what, exactly, Scarlet was up to and what would be required of the rest of them Constantine started preparing for a full-fledged fight by positioning his hands near easily accessable hiden knives, as well as making sure he had a firm grasp of the light currents around them.

Sammy was about to call afetr Jason when she was suddenly grabbed from behind. She was about to scream when she felt the cold metal of the gun against her temple. She immediatly shut up.

Sammy didn't know what to do, so she obediently walked where the girl directed her.

Aiden wasn't quite sure what Scarlet had in mind, but he figured that whatever it was, it would probably spark a fight. He prepared himself and transformed into a solid plate of Mercury.

Scarlet led the girl along with her hand on her shoulder and her gun shoved into the girl's back. They walked all the way back to the other gang members. "O.k., now thay I, i mean we, have a hostage, i'm sure we can lure them out. " Scarlet siad with an evil smile.

Then she turned into view of the window where all of the FBI agents in trianing sat. Sure to place both sammy and her own gun in clear sight, Scarlet montioned for the youngsters to come out and meet her.

outside the window the girl who had been out of sight came back, marching Sammy in front of her. she looked straight at the window and beckoned.
"I think the time for planning is past." said Caitlyn, jerking her head at the window in case anyone had been ignoring it, though she doubted anyone was. "Just a guess, but I think we need to get out there. now."

Sammy didn't want to show her fear, but she couldn't help it. The tears silently slid down her cheeks.

"Please... you don't have to do this... just let me go. I won't tell the cops about you... I swear!!"

Aiden spat at the girl's feet.

"You think we fear the police?? We fear no one!! It is you who is about to learn waht fear truly is. You and your government trash."

He watched as the group inside began to stand, all looking fearful and worried.

Connor looked outside and saw Sammy standing there with one ofthe gang members, a gun to her back. He stood slowly, trying to figure out how this had happened...

Hope jumped up from the table when she saw the scene that was taking place outside. She wanted to go running out there, but she stopped herself. They had to stay calm and think through this, but at the same time they couldn't play around. No one else in the shop was aware of what was going on, it should probably stay that way. If people started panicking or creating a scene, this whole situation would not end well. "Okay," she breathed, not really sure what to say next. "We need to go out there, but we have to stay calm."

Craig's heart started beating faster when he saw Scarlet drag a girl with a gun to her back. "What are you doing?" he almost shouted. "I thought, you said that ...."

He was interrupted by a familiar voice behind him. "There everyone is." It was Treena, his cousin. She had been at her post patroling the North side when all the action started without her. When she went back to their headquarters and no one was there, she knew something was up and figured it was something near the campus.

"I thought I heard my little cousin's voice, he givin' you all trouble again?" she threw an arm around his shoulders and ruffled his hair. She knew something big was up when he didn't try to push away. That's when she looked up and saw Scar with the hostage. A smile crept onto her face, this looked good. "Ah, so what is up?"

So basically when she's around, feel free to have your characters' powers be stronger than they normally would and possibly a little more in control.))

"What are you doing?" he almost shouted. "I thought, you said that ...."

He was interrupted by a familiar voice behind him. "There everyone is."

"Well, not everyone." Scarlet said, glade to see another female on the scene.

A smile crept onto her face, this looked good. "Ah, so what is up?"

"Well, you know about the whole situation with the FBI. WE just found a whole big group of them, and if they want their friend back, they'll be here any second. We can do some damage. but he main idea is to scare them off. As well as scare off potental mutant members. At least thats what we were told to do."

((I'd like to think that there are older, more experianced gang members. Ya know big scarey men. And a mysteriously evil leader. If thats ok with you Hope.))

Kyler stood up with the rest of the group and headed to the door. he wasn't leading the way of course. he was just hiding behind the others, trying not to be seen, which of course wasn't difficult, considering he was almost fully invisible. He was filled with fear and regret as he followed Hope out the door.

As the new girl walked towards the group, Sammy could feel the flow of electricty through her veins. She could feel her power... a sensation she thought she'd never feel... maybe she'd be able to use her powers now...

Connor got up and started walking out the door along with the others. All thoughts of simple escape were lost when they caught sight of Sammy held at gun point.

Aiden stayed silent while the mutants came outside to play. He could feel the Mercury in his body strengthen, his abilities peaking to perfection. He credited it to the before battle adrenaline rush...

Constantine, who'd kept his gaze focused on their targests, glanced over briefly as Treena approached. After smiling and nodding in her direction he returned his attention to the approaching group of students.

He could feel his powers strengthening, his grip on the areas light currents tightening and he grinned to himself. Constantine could sense that this was about to get very very interesting, possibly dangerous, and began to prepare himself accordingly.

He also decided, that now that all the students were within easy seeing distance it was time for some fun. So with his grip on the light sure and strong he began randomly diverting the light currents from the eyes of the approaching students and then just as randomly sending them back.

He didn't really know what the result would be or how they would react, all he knew was that he wanted to mess with them a bit before the main action started.
