Except previously it was government agencies behind the scenes. Some people liked thatWhatever happened to Twitter being a private company that can do what they want? It's not the government that's doing it, is it? See how these journalists like the taste of their own medicine...
Government corruption is important.Certainly the government shouldn't care about what messages a private company wants to suppress or promote on its own platform. But it still sounds like that's on the GOP's first order of business when they take control of the House.
Private companies deciding to let the government control it, is different matter. Similarly, the hunter biden investigation is not just about Hunter, it is about Joe Bidens involvement it it.And I'm getting whiplash from seeing some conservative opinion-havers zig from wanting moderation on social media platforms fixed by the government because private companies shouldn't be allowed to decide who uses their platforms now zagging over to 'who cares if private companies decide who uses their platforms?'
Hunter Biden is being investigated. This does not require any involvement of social media.Similarly, the hunter biden investigation is not just about Hunter
I would not have any issue if Elon Musk chose to sue Jack Sweeney. That is his right and his prerogative.Reno mayor sues after finding tracking device on vehicle
Reno's mayor is suing a private investigator and his company after finding a tracking device attached to her vehicle that was capable of tracking its real-time locationabcnews.go.com
Evidently live tracking public figures in some instances is frowned at.
Sorry journalists reporting on a story is legal, unless you’re living in North Korea, Russia, or some other hell hole.

A person suing does not determine whether or not a practice is frowned upon, however - at least for anyone other than the plaintiff.
Reporting on a "story"..? Tracking someone's every move, and publishing it on the internet is just a "story" to you..?
Anything is worthy of a lawsuit. There is nothing preventing you from suing anyone at any time for any reason. No guarantees you'll win though.Just to get this straight, you're thinking that this may actually qualify as something worthy of a lawsuit, but as far as social media standards, it should be allowed to go on..?
Suing someone, even successfully, does not make what they did illegal. Winning a lawsuit just means that the judge believes that you have been harmed in some way by the party you're suing....Why is that? That something potentially illegal should be allowed on social media?
Good grief. These stories were never about "tracking someone's every move and publishing it". It was about tracking the location of a plane. Doesn't tell you who is in the plane (even if you know who owns it). Doesn't tell you where they go after the plane lands. Everytime I've seen the "general aviation" planes at the airport there was a chain-link fence in between.
Yep. It has become their culture. The writing is on the walls... Musk is the new Trump, and there's no telling how far some will go to destroy him. Whether it's targeting his family plane, or lawsuits... Or if it's an "EU commission" threatening to take some kind of legal action..!
Musk now sits in the crosshairs. After all, he's a white, wealthy, right-wing influencer. He will need to be "disposed" of.

Musk is not a victim here. He is a narcissistic billionaire who bought a new toy. He will get bored and in fact may already be tired of his new bauble. He has put up a poll on Twitter asking if he should step down as CEO and claims he will do whatever the majority wants,The writing is on the walls... Sure he is. As you follow this with vitriol, to continue the attack. And on and on it will go.
