CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i agree with ya kilted, not all musicals are great i dont really like my fair lady much anymore - only because i had to spend hours on end siting in a room listining to the vocalists and other instruments reherse - it just got boring after a while, however it was ok when everything was put together. I love les mis, oliver, We will rock you and the Producers. fav chars are, les mis - enjolras, marius and valjean. oliver - fagin and dodger. wwry - cmmdr Khashoggi and the producers - franz Liebkind (the german)

I think from the first time that I ever saw a musical (I think it was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) I have loved them. It has always been my dream to be in one, but it hasn't been fullfilled yet. So far my favorites are Les Miserables, Godspell, and a new one that my friend introduced me to "Wicked", which is like a prequel to the Wizard of Oz. I went to a performing arts high school for theatre and I didn't realize how good I had it until I went off to college. I've gone from being in a world entirely focused on it, to a world where no one ever thinks about. It's good to hear about other people who enjoy it as much as I do.....

Well, think a high school where they combine everyone in your county who can act, that makes for some tough competition. I audtioned every year, but every year they couldn't either find a part that fit me or they just didn't want me...but whatever, I'm not letting it keep me down!!
