yea.. its such a shame that Musicals arent very popular with the younger generation around my agegroup... who knows maybe its a middleaged thing?!

best ever written?? hardly... its a good story line, but there are musicals out there that have a much more snappy soundtrack. but each to their own.

Musicals are a ton of fun! i played bill sykes in oliver! a few years back, and now i am in "School house rock live!" we open in i think 2 wks! please pray it will all fall into place!

lol! dont worry all Musicals are like that... they dont work untill the Dress Rehersal.. and sometimes opening night ! lol. Bill Sykes is a gd part to play.. would prefer to be Fagin though. Havnt heard of the other Musical.

i definitly can relate to the "Musicals are like that... they dont work untill the Dress Rehersal.. and sometimes opening night" lol. but wow there are so many great musicals in this world and half of them probably no ones heard of...hedwig and the angry inch isnt really a musical, its a rock opera, but its still really good..a funny thing happened on the way to the forum is hilarious. once on this island has amazing percussion, itll make anyone want to dance...i could go on forever about great musicals, and i could never pick a favorite character, wayyy to many...though Elphaba from Wicked is one i would absolutly love to play, shes such a complex character, and has amazing songs, and gets covered in green makeup, jklol. k im gonna stop now cos otherwise we'd all be here forever....bye...

I'm always changing my fave show, but my top five are (in no particular order):
Honk!
The Wiz
Little Shop of Horrors
King and I
Blood Brothers

I'd love to play Ida or Lowbutt in Honk... and Addaperle in the Wiz... and Nancy in Oliver! and Anna in the King and I... and Audrey II in Lil Shop... and Linda in Blood Brothers! lol! You won't believe me, but I actually prefer acting in straight plays, but there are a load of good character in musicals!

i love striaght plays too.....theres usually more of a story, at least in my opinon, but musicals have dancing and singing, so its so hard to chose!

yea.. straight plays are more beleiveable.. but Musicals get the Audience involved... and mainly in a way that isnt cheesy!

haha yeah...i tend to start mouthing the words whenever i see a musical...i think it helps make the experience even more enjoyable than it already is... although it can bug the people i see it with...

The only reason I prefer acting in straight plays is cos I can't sing or dance! Lol!

Though I do love Shakespeare's way with words... he's a lot of fun!
