To answer my own questions: I sing and play flute well. I know some piano, some clarinet, and some violin.

I have an obsession with composing music.

I love the way Celtic music sounds on my flute. Also, any arrangements of hymns or Christmas carols with lots of scales and grace notes are fun to learn.

i love aria sulla quarta corda by bach. i play alto and tenor sax. in addition to Mozart and Handel i also enjoy songs from Disney.
Cool! Bach was an awesome musician, although I almost prefer Beethoven.

What is the difference between an alto and tenor sax? I've never played either, so I wouldn't know.

well its in the name. alto is higher pitch while tenor is lower. alto is smaller as well. Beethoven was okay with his 6th

Like an Alto flute is lower than most flutes... gotcha. Do they use the same kind of reeds?

My favorite is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I love the symphonies, but Moonlight Sonata is my favorite noise ever.

I played drums for two years, stopped playing it.. But a few months ago I bought my first guitar and I am learning to play guitar now. I am planning to do something with my voice too but that is not something serious yet.

So now and then I am asked to play on a cajón, mainly because of my percussion experience.

Do you play any instruments? Which ones, and how well? Do you sing? Compose music? What's the prettiest piece of music you've ever learned? Discuss...

I play the piano, mandolin, ukulele, acoustic and electric guitar, and the violin. I began taking piano lessons when I was four, so it's the instrument I'm the most advanced on, but the ukulele is my favorite. It's just so adorable and fun to play.

I just want to pet her like a puppy sometimes, haha.

I do sing but it's purely a passion and I've never had any vocal training. I also compose songs. Maybe I'll share some of them here one day.

Arabesque 1 by Debussy is so lovely to me. It's a massage for my mind, and prettiness to my ears.

don't worry. It's your enthusiasm for praising God that counts, not the tone of your voice! lol. My brother pays trumpet. it is a fun instrument, it's nice and noisy.

Have you ever been inspired to learn a new instrument from a YouTube video???? I've learned the autoharp and kalimba because of a few inspiring videos, and this dude has made me dream of learning to play the cello so gorgeously:

My brain feels like it was just massaged.

As most of you know, I'm a drummer. I can sing too but I'm not very good.

For how long? I've had drumming lessons for 2 years but I quit and sold my drum kit. I love to play on smaller drums though, such as Cajons

Since I was 12. (Almost 17 now) I've never had any official lessons. My sister was in a band then and the drummer of that band taught me the basics and would let me use his drums when he wasn't playing. I got my own eventually tho.
