i am not against ALL secular music as a hard fast rule. I do listen MOSTLY to Christian music but there is some secular music i do listen to that i think is good. As far as my kids when they start getting older i will moniter the music they listen to and they will KNOW what isn't accepted (cursing, violence, anti-authority, sex) pretty much the same rule applies for movies and tv.

Kids don't really know the meaning behind the words of the songs so they may be listening to it but they aren't 'getting it'. That's why it is even more important to act as the filter for your child.
