  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have never used an MP3 player. However, I thought it would be good to put a bunch of church music on one, so that I could carry it around who knows where. But figuring this out is not easy for me, and I prefer not to spend money.

So... does anyone know of some good sites where I can download some neat church music for free? Also, if you will be so kind, let me know if I have to download an installer. Also -- I use Ubuntu, so if someone know a Linux site, that would be great, but I do have some Windows partitions. However, I will pay for good stuff, so if someone wants to include a pay site, that's OK>

Or do others just use the computer for music, when recordings are wanted? Or maybe other alternatives. (Of course, the advantage of having the music on the computer is, one can play it at McDonald's with coffee -- but you have to get everyone prepared. Just kidding!!!!)

Also -- what songs do you all like for a house church meeting?

I'm just not getting anywhere understanding this MP3 player I have or installing stuff on it. But it seems like a nice little device.
