No. Science doesn’t “win” anything. It is the creationists who have declared war on science. Since evolution cannot be “fought” using sound science, the creationist movement has turned to politics in fighting this war. What’s really sad is that creationists think science can be defeated using political tactics.

My point was that they were harassing an old woman. Is that the Christian thing to do?

Harassing is not what a believer should do no matter what the age of an individual. I simply do not feel that asking questions or making points is harassment.

Especially since creationism has already lost in the scientific, legal and economic arenas. Politics and public opinion is all they have left.

Asking rapid fire questions without waiting for a response is certainly harrassment.

Or arrange for the creationists to go to the Holocaust Museum and ask the director how the Jews faked the Holocaust.

Or arrange for the creationists to go to NASA and ask scientists how they faked the moon landings.

If you go to the Holocaust Museum, you will find not a little reference to German evolutionary dogma. There is a lot of propaganda about the inbreed trates of JUDEN.

NASA didn't try to fake more dust on the surface of the moon, that they believed should have been on such a "very old" satalelite.

Perhaps, but not listening and not allowing a person to answer is harassment.

If you owe me $100, and I call, asking when I can expect payment, how many times must you reply, “Next Thursday” before you consider it harassment?

Creationists need to listen. You need to stop presenting PRATTs as valid questions. How many times do you need to be told that the SLoT does not preclude evolution?

How is it science's fault when people misuse their theories. Even if Hitler did all of this, does it make evolution wrong? No. Did the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki make atomic theory wrong? Well, did it?

No, creationists just fake the whole story. The longer legs on the lander were designed for hard landings, not for thick dust. More evidence that creationists such as yourself are not interested in the truth.

From http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CE/CE101.html

"The story that scientists worried about astronauts sinking in moon dust is a total fabrication. As early as 1965, scientists were confident, based on optical properties of the moon's surface, that dust was not extensive. Surveyor I, in May 1966, confirmed this. "

The sad this is, Little Nip probably thought he had won because he could simply run away from the discussion, and hope it never comes back to hurt him.

I've been there, as a TE being harrassed by a fully flowing YEC, barking a load of PRATTs at me. It's definitely harrassment. And these guys were nothing like as vehement as some of the guys I come across on CF. The moment you started to answer someone will fire another question. And of course, as you know (or should by now) the answer to the average PRATT takes about twenty times as long to explain as the PRATT takes to recite.

Several against one rapid firing questions they don't want answers to is harrassment.

We haven't declared war on science, we just reject the philosophy that nature is all there is. And if we can't fight using science, how come so many scientists reject Evolutionism?

What that 300 or 400 list of "scientists"? Ever heard of Project Steve? Either numbers in acceptance count or they don't, either way that point is bunk.

Agreed. You only reject that which contradicts your interpretation of Genesis. Quite telling, wouldn’t you say?

You can create fantasies to your heart’s desire. I couldn’t care less. Just don’t parade your fantasies as being scientifically sound.

Scientists are not immune to fantastic superstition. But more to your point, what is your definition of “so many?” If that “so many” amounted to less than 5% of scientists, would you still make the claim?

ToE =/= atheism. How does anyone go from "organisms evolve" to "only nature exists" (i.e. the supernatural - God - does not exist) ? Given the lack of theological conflict with the ToE among almost all theists and just about all non-American Christians, it's painfully obvious that the two statements are not logically related and that the ToE, as a scientific theory describing the natural world, is formulated exactly how it should be in accordance with the scientific method. Positing God is not necessary in any scientific theory, yet the ToE is suspiciously singled out for this claim of atheism by creationists who claim it isn't science unless it is explicitly theistic or Christian. Sorry, science doesn't work that way.

You don't hear of creationists critizing the materialism of atomic theory or germ theory: "Alright atomists, where did the first atom come from?", "If we're all made up of atoms, then shouldn't we behave like atoms?", "If we're made up of only atoms, then we don't have souls and God doesn't exist. And since I know that we have souls and that God exists, atomic theory is flawed" lol. Silly, isn't it?

It's okay to reject that philosophy; many evolutionists do. But when it's time do actual sciency stuff, naturalism is the only approach that yields useful results. Theistic evolutionists recognize this. They save the supernatural stuff for another time and place. That's the proper way to handle it.

And if we can't fight using science, how come so many scientists reject Evolutionism?

How come they haven't published any evidence against evolution in the scientific literature?

How come Wheaton College, one of the top Christian colleges, has evolution as the centerpiece to its biology curriculum? Ditto for top Catholic universities such as Notre Dame and Boston College.

So many? You mean a handful that reject evolution for reasons that are entirely religious based? Sorry, you'll have to do better than that. A lot better.

i consider it harrassment when they shoot them off so fast that she cannot have time to answer them all. obviously there whole goal was to go in there and make her look like a fool which really they are the fools.

She probably just remembered the old adage…Never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and then win based on experience.
