This is a long story, but in order for you all to understand I must tell it all. In July of 1996 my Uncle went out for a while leaving my invalid Grandfather at home telling him that he would be back in just a little while. He never came home. The next day when he hadn't shown up for work either he was reported missing. The following day there was use of his ATM card at a gas station and then nothing more until October. In October his car was found in a parking lot of a shopping plaza (it was there for a while, but no one bothered to report it). It had been wiped clean of fingerprints, even my Uncle's were gone and had been vaccuumed out. There were cigarette butt (2 different kinds, one kind with lipstick on it), but my uncle never smoked and didn't have a girlfriend. The police couldn't find anything that would indicate what happened to my uncle or who might have been involved, but felt that there was wrongdoing involved. Over the years since then there have been numerous inquiries about details of my uncle as they have found bodies that were John Does, but none were my uncle until November of 2002. A hunter found his skull in the woods and after taking the skull home with him and holding onto it for a few hours (why we do not know) he finally decided to call the police and report it. He wasn't sure he could find his way back to the spot, but thankfully he did. And the rest of my uncle's skelatal remains as well as his wallet were found. This spot was approximately 90 feet away from the edge of the parking lot where my uncle's car was found! There are so many unanswered questions of how and why that we will never know. They did an extensive examination of the remains and think that he was strangled, but cannot prove this with enough evidence to put on the death certificate, which states his death as unknown causes. We are having a wake for him on Thursday and funeral on Friday. I ask for prayers as my family is finally able to put him into a proper resting place and grieves for our loss. Also pray for us to be able to let go of the anger and questioning of how, why and who was responsible for the variety of things that have happened through this from the one responsible for his death the to the quesitonable choices made by those investigating. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I feel for you. God will take car of the wrong doing done to your uncle and the people who were involved will be punished. As for you, I'm sorry you had to undure such a tragic loss of a family member. Our prayers are with you.

Well, tomorrow is his wake and Friday is his funeral. I am continuing to pray that God allows me peace and helps me to let go of all the unanswered questions so that I may be able to move on without it always eating at me.
