  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So a fella whose computer I'm working on overwhelmed his IE with garbage. You know, toolbars, bonzi buddy, comet cursor, and the like. Before I get get over there to stem the tide, the whole thing began crashing into itself, and IE would hang every time it started.

So I downloaded Netscape, got a fresh install of IE, and off we go.

Heres my problem. He's a big user of MS Messenger. He uses it to talk to his girlfriend, who lives way way out somewhere, all the time. But for some reason, it keeps on telling him he is typing the wrong password. Every time.

We've tried changing the password, creating new screennames. Doesn't matter. I even tried mine on his computer, and it told me my password was wrong (I checked when I got home, it worked fine).

PW was not case sensitive.

Any ideas? I reinstalled MS Messenger. The only X factor I saw was the presence of Netscape...
