CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

sry i have been gone for a while.
Try the Rio riot then, 20GB, its a little old (so quite cheap), and a little big, but its reliable, easy to use, and like I said 20 GB.
aahhh....i hate those..that is what i have..HAD. it quit working and its useless...no one can fix it..wat happened was the power switch broke..so a little plastic peice was bouncing around inside and it was permanently on. i also got a new pc and it wont let me transfer..
this is what i would really like..size and price dont matter...
line out to connect to my stereo( or something else that has audio inputs) , long battery or replaceable, nice warranty, durable....nuthing out there

may I recommend the Rio Karma. 20GB, supports more formats than most (normal ones + OGG and FLAC), comes with GOOD headphones (Senheissers) etc...

I just got a new 20gb 3rd generation iPod and I'm SO HAPPY with it. By the way, the rumor about the batt only lasting 18 months is not necessarily true. The battery, if used very heavily (as in, constant every day usage) will wear the battery out in about 3 years. If the usage is more normal, more moderate, the battery could last for up to 9-10 years.
Chew on that.
But anyway, I love it because: it's MAc/PC compatible, iTunes is the best software I've found so far to deal with my mp3s, it's light, easy, goregous, sensible, has a huge drive, and does what i want it to do (yes my friends, i use it for MUSIC, not just for organizing. don't get a pocket PC for music. Get an mp3 player). The size of the drive is very important to me and this 20gb baby didn't cost me more than $350... and I think that's about what the Rio 20gb is going for right now.
Okay let's just face it, I'm an iPod devotee. And I don't think non-users will believe until they try it
but it's not the best decision for everyone. If you're not a music buff nor have an ever-changing sizable music collection, don't get an iPod. Get something smaller or get a minidisc player. But if you want to be constantly updating it, have an enormous collection... get an iPod.
