  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There already is a great resource by a bloke called Jeff Mucha:
http://www.skylab.org/~chugga/mpegbox/index.html
That is where I got most of my info from for the original one. :)

I considered linux, was looking into slackware before. It would be very easy to write a little C-program (or even just a shell script) to capture keys, run a command line mp3 player and output to LCD. But it was just easier to use Win95 and winamp to do that! All premade and ready to go.

There is also a thing out there called CAJUN (serach on sourceforge for it) which is a linux system for an in-car mp3 jukebox thing.

But at the moment I am still most interested in Win95. It offers the most flexibility at the least amount of work for me! Once I have the basic delphi controls coded it should be plain sailing. I can also easily use USB devices like my digital camera and my spare wifi dongle etc...
