  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please say a quick prayer for me tomorrow. I am moving and have little help. I am still recovering from the flu and don't really have any energy. Tomorrow doesn't seem like it will be much fun.

On a second, more personal note, I was at the new place tonight (I will be living alone) and I just got a real sense of that. Being alone. I've been alone for quite some time but this is the first place I'll have on my own. I don't know if it was just me being tired, and it being dark and rainy, but it seemed to hit me hard.

I just ask that the place be a home for me, a place to grow the way I need to in God and a place to grow as a person as well.

I move away some time ago (since moved back b/c school finished) and I was alone and felt scared. It is normal I think. You get over those emotions and learn to thrive in your surroundings. Your body is just trying to adjust to change, that's all.

I will pray for you nevertheless :)

Moving went pretty smooth actually. As I was driving to pick up the uhaul truck I just prayed a simple "please help" prayer. I really feel the power of prayer came through. It was an exhausting move, as they all are, but I rented the truck at 10 and returned it at 4. Overall it went pretty quick and smooth. I am in the new place and the old place is all squared away. I still have a lot of unpacking to do but it's been a tiring two days so hopefully that can happen after Church tomorrow (checking out a new one). All in all it's been okay, now just for the emotional side of things. I think that's a longer journey though.
