• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Moving Forward:

Ok, so... now that 1 month of nitemares is past this place, I would like to find ways to promote peace here.

If anybody has suggestions? I'd like to work on healing & bringing peace (in the middle of the storm?)?
Not to say everybody has stop what they're doing & link pinks in a caring circle to sing Kumbaya.... but, I'd like to find ways to get back to normal if it's possible.

(don't make me hafta get hostile) :ebil: :p

We need to discuss hot topics, share our views and post in an adult fashion. I am going to try to post my thoughts without feeling like I shouldn't. If we get some good meaty threads going this will stop. Once we get some good discussions going, we all need to ban together if a CC member gets hot with another CC memeber we need to politly address it. Without report buttons being hit. I honestly don't see CC members attacking other CC memebers but who knows. If a good disscussion is going and a non-member replies (if its not relating to fellowhip) we need to A. ignore, or B. ignore or C. ask them to read our rules. This is my opionion:sorry:

I am going to study and pray to see if I can think of a good thread starter. lets all try to find a good topic:idea:

Here is a quick list that I was thinking about that I believe might be helpful if we all agree and do it.

1. Pray before coming here
2. Ignore all trolls/no feeding
3. Start discussions that this congregation was formed
to discuss.
4. Cease discussing the "politics" and "games" that are being played in this forum.

Feel free to comment on these and add to it etc...

God bless

I do understand some of it... even Paul, Mark & Barnabus had a serious contention and split from each other in their ministry -it happens.
There were also sects that rose up in the early churches - not all things are necessarily wrong or bad, but some are. (or the thing you fight for is right, but the way it's fought can be wrong)...:tutu:

The issue of liberalism is a strong one in conservativism and Christianity - so it's natural that this would arise here (some have mentioned that it was inevitable at some point). I dunno.

Alot has gone on and even the people who left this forum were a part of those wars & had a hand in it all - it's not a blameless issue for most any of us.
I've done my repenting over my part and I cant' change it and I WILL screw up again in the future --
& I will fight for what I believe is important....
but I don't think continually blaming is helpful anymore; it wasn't ALL wrong; fighting for a good cause is right, and casualties occur from it.
But hopefully we can move forward & learn from it.
& thanks for praying, we can all use it here!! =0)
